Sotomayor Ruled in Favor of Muslim Inmate’s Ramadan Dinner But Rejected Christian Hobby Lobby

Justice Sotomayer ruled in favor of Muslim inmates but ruled against Christian business owners.

The Supreme Court denied a request by Hobby Lobby, a Christian-owned company, to shield the company from the controversial contraceptive mandate. Justice Sonia Sotomayor rejected a request for an emergency injunction that would have shielded employers from the mandate. Hobby Lobby could face fines of up to $1.3 million a day if they do not comply to the Obama mandate.

Yet, as Laura Ingraham pointed out, in a previous case Sotomayor ruled for a Muslim inmate who was denied Ramadan meals.

Not only is Sotomayor a hypocrite, it’s beyond me that any judge would give special meal privilege to any prisoner other than for serious medical reasons. Religious rights and any other rights should not apply to prisoners. If a man wants a Ramadan meal, then that man needs to stay out prison.

I was fascinated by Sotomayor’s reason for denying Hobby Lobby's appeal. She said that Hobby Lobby is not a religious organization. This is what happens when you select a person to be a member of the highest court in the land for reasons other than her character, legal knowledge, and legal experience.

Ownership of Hobby Lobby is Christian, and they are being forced by the federal government to commit an act they find repugnant to their religious beliefs.

Sotomayor is wrong.

She is ruling exactly the way she said she would before she was confirmed. She believes it’s her job to level the playings field. Screw the constitution.

The Roman Catholic hospitals sowed this inane argument when they claimed that they should be exempt. Instead, the church should have made claims on behalf of parishioners, who are not religious institutions.

Easy to explain. In Justice Sotomayer's America, Muslim inmates have more rights than Christian business owners.

Can anyone say "Sharia law"?

I’m surprised they didn’t let him slaughter the goat with a knife.

And just as surprised she didn’t say something like ‘they can slice the heads off of guards after too, since that’s their culture’.

Wise latina.

Does Sotormayor look like she's been doing some serious drinking, or is that look normal for her?

...especially since Islam is not a religion.

We waste too much time pointing out the left’s “hypocrisy” instead of pointing out where they are consistent -

they are anti-Christ.

All there actions are consistent within this assertion.

Definitely worth repeating!

The NSA, CIA and Defense Dept followed Pearl Harbor,
and yet,
after 911, the Moslem Brotherhood was allowed
to infiltrate the Pentagon and White House and Congress,
and Islam was exempted from ObamaCARE/Slavery/DeathPanels
foiseted on all other Americans (Congress exempted, too).
