President Obama on Sunday said he would make gun control a priority in his new term, pledging to put his "full weight" behind passing new restrictions on firearms in 2013.

"I'm going to be putting forward a package and I'm going to be putting my full weight behind it," Obama said in an interview aired on NBC's "Meet the Press."

"I'm going to be making an argument to the American people about why this is important and why we have to do everything we can to make sure that something like what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary does not happen again."

Cops won't do it either. They were against the citizens in New Orleans and let the thugs and criminals free.

To compare N.O. cops to anyone in fly-over country is laughable.

The problem with what I suggested is that most people don't understand the essence of warfare at its core. Far too many people (especially young-ish males) have the idea that they're going to meet the enemy on a hillside 300 meters away on a nice day and that they'll die in glory and for a worthy cause...quickly... with a single shot... from a distance.

I hear you loud and clear. I'm just going to say from my perspective it's a damn' shame that my generation (I'm 50) has sat on our collective asses and done NOTHING to prevent what's happening to our country.

Voting? Please. Voting's for losers. The WINNERS are the ones who count the ballots!

I see very little - if any - difference between the R's and D's anymore - and haven't for years. They all wink and nod at each other once they're off-camera. They know how the game is played - they keep their power and that's how they like it. Every once in awhile the deck chairs get shuffled and someone new is in the White House (or Senate, or House) but the game never changes.

I've been quietly hoping since I was in my early 30's that the war to take our country back would happen BEFORE my kids had to fight it. I've been watching, waiting, patiently. Almost 20 years have now passed. My oldest son is 16. My youngest is 14. Both know how to shoot (and not just on their video game consoles.)

Not that I've been "itching for the fight" but I at least wanted it to happen at a time when I would be the one to fight it and not my children!

Almost 20 years have gone by. I'm 50. I've had 4 major back surgeries. I can't physically run. Most days I'm lucky to be standing vertically and walking. If the fight comes now, so be it. As long as I can get my sons and family to safety first, I don't really give a damn' what happens to me. I'm the guy who doesn't have a choice but to stand and fight at this point.

Again, I'm not "itching for the fight" but if it comes - bring it on. I'm ready.

The answer is simple. If I find out that active confiscation is taking place, I will consider it an act of war and will react accordingly. I expect any patriot to do the same. There will be much blood if he tries this because there are many, many of us that will NOT give up our guns.

Right now, guns are the only tool that we, the people have to defend our other constitutional rights. Given how hard they’re trying to take away the rest of them, it’s obvious that they want to completely undermine the constitution. And confiscating guns is the only way to complete the task.

It worked in China, Nazi Germany, Russia - it will work here if we don’t dedicate our lives to saving the country.

When/if TSHTF, hit back!

Of course you know the Constitution does not discuss when, how or if a state may seceed. Not a single word. This clearly kicks us over to the 10th amendment;

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”

Sounds like a state can decide. The civil war settled what hapens when an industrial, populous region of the nation fights a sparsely populated agricultural region,,,nothing more.

Not the people that stood on principle and didn't vote for your liberal.

I don't think these jackasses in Washington can wrap their heads around the fact that there are voters in this country who aren't corrupted like they are...

What we need to do is appeal to the members of the House and Senate and see how important it is to them to continue to exist. They may think more rationally about the consequences to their personal selves.

I can only think of one way to get that message across.

There is a reason he choose to be known as Lincoln.

He has now used obamacare to impoverish and criminalize Christians who won’t pay for abortion pills in their businesses. Now he’s going after the rest of the conservatives. Most will be submissive and abandon the country and themselves. But many won’t. Bammy and his ATF goons know that.

Whitey will finally be quota equal to blacks in prisons. Oh well. Political crimes are not crimes of moral offense.

I have been looking or a book about the French Resistance. It seems that the lone wolves did pretty well and ones who went to the meetings soon figured out there were as many or more agent provocateurs as there were patriots. All too late of course.

Anyone have a suggestion on books?

Hell, I saw someone on this very forum 'damn those that stood on principle' and made Romney lose. Today. The corruption is deep.

What the hell are you talking about , are you insane or have you an IQ below room temperature? I didn't have any “liberal” , I wanted to stop this communist dictator Obama. You don't even understand what federalism is that Romney was talking about. Romney wasn't my first nor ideal choice. That was the choice we were dealt with Romney or Obama, as the media controls everytyhing. At least with Romney we might have had a chance to live for a few more years. You helped Obama by not voting against Obama so now you gave us all another choice slavery or death .

You would have us believe everything Romney said was a lie, why would he lie cause he wants to also destroy America as Obama does? Ridiculous . In the debates Romney said he would repeal obamacare, not be for Amnesty, get the federal government out of the way etc.

You didn't act to stop Obama/democrats. that's the bottom line so you helped elect Obama so it can now finish destroying America, our freedom, individual rights. YOU are responsible for Obama, so deal with that.

Hunting season would open early. Gloves come off and ROE get really freakin’ loose. I wouldn’t want to wear a blue uniform in any of the 50 states as soon as the feds start confiscating guns in one of the 50 states. A very pro-active stance would be indicated all across the country. You do not need permission to fight tyranny. You do not need a court to justify your action. Listen to Nike and just do it.

The states are definitely the key and the GOP controls just under half of them and the democrats control some 13 states. Even RINO heavy states like Michigan are putting us a stiff fight against Obama.

December 10, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Matt Frendewey, Director of Communications O: 517-487-5413

Michigan Republican Party chairman Bobby Schostak issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s visit to Michigan today:

“It’s interesting that President Obama has chosen to stop in Michigan to propose his economic recovery plan of higher taxes, more spending and broken budgets. Here in Michigan we’ve seen actual economic recovery by streamlining government, cutting taxes and balancing budgets.

“The President’s divisive message and attack on Michigan workers is just another indication of how out of touch Pres. Obama has become. President Obama’s continued attempt to subvert state rights is an assult on our federal system.

“I encourage the former law professor and our current President brush up on the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, ‘The powers not delegated to the United states by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.’

“The President’s stance is a blatant attack on Michigan workers and demonstrates the President’s staunch support of special interest union bosses. Thankfully, Michigan Republican leaders are here to provide a firewall for Michigan workers and their families and to keep Michigan’s turnaround on course.”

Yep, there's nothing like an old fart to stick a wrench into the works.

Should the old farts band together, no telling how difficult inappropriate "change" could be.

“Because the alternative is that we organize... set objectives... kill a bunch of tyrants... evaluate... reapply as necessary.”

Ha. We can’t even manage to agree on a candidate that can get through a primary.
There won’t be another CW or anything even like that.
People will bitch on the internet and then go back to watching football.

Damn the torpedos, I’ll fearlessly post on the internet to do my part. Lol

Unintended Consequences by John Ross. You might hear the name Henry Bowman mentioned from time to time on this site — he’s the central character in the novel. No, it’s not French. No, it’s not about WWII. True, it’s only a novel. Still, it is an interesting read about a man who decided he had had enough and wanted to fight back.
