Hmmmm ... since L.A. is buying back non-functional guns at these buyback programs, I think I will turn in these "assault weapons" for cash the next time another one of these programs comes to SoCal. (heh, heh)

"So basically, what we have here is an empty tube. Kind of like an olive drab sewer pipe."

Will they pay for a potato gun? Not as cool looking as an expended rocket tube, but they actually shoot.

And they are considered competent to judge & understand what qualifies as a weapon, and hand over taxpayer dollars for it...
Oh the humanity!

The LA Mayor, Police Chief, and other morons don’t even understand they’re talking about a scary piece of green plastic tube. That’s all an AT-4 rocket launcher tube is after firing. The same is true for those scary green M72 Light Anti-Tank Weapon (LAW) tubes after firing. They’re both one shot weapons and are thrown away after use. What a bunch of knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing morons.

There is little doubt that Villagarosa and his Chief of police arm scamming the public. Buy back programs are nothing but dim witted publicity stunts that do nothing to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.

That farcical exercise was tried several times in Phila., PA years ago. The hype assured that these guns would be destroyed. I think that once they were to be dumped into the Delaware River. Surprise, surprise! Some cops recognized that these weapons made ideal throw away guns. I won’t go into detail because I fully support legal law enforcement efforts and I also recognize the reality of what confronts cops on the streets.

But I have the utmost contempt for gun grabbing politicians whose security is invariably covered by armed protectors. They really do not care what happens to vulnerable, unarmed citizens. These people are of low character, but unfortunately there exists an over abundance of them holding public office in America today.
