I do recall the McDonald case now, and it was a long time coming. Unfortunately it once again misapplied the due process clause of the 14 th amendment. The privileges and immunities clause incorporates, not due process. Due process is about process, which is why it’s called due process. But lets not nitpick.
“How do you plan on collecting the firearms from those 1.4 million people?”
Pretty simple for most owners. Deadlines will be set and those that miss them will be fined, substantially. Most people don’t live in cash and have bank, savings, or other security accounts that can simply have fines extracted with a few simple keystrokes of a computer. Fail again to comply, fine doubles. Wages garnished will be another sneaking trick I assure you these tyrants have considered.
...per... ???
Need a "homicides per N residents" number for it to make sense...
Of course, the article I based my comments on could have been completely wrong too.
That said, it's pretty clear that tough gun control laws aren't stopping homicides, here or across the pond.
>> How about moving to Colorado instead...??
Too late - it’s already been Californicated.
So classic bird guns like the Remington 1100 are now "assault weapons?" Wow. At least they are not pretending any more. Let's see how that works out for them among the notoriously low voter-interest recreational sportsmen demographic.
*This* time we *really* mean it.
“Wasn’t the first 45 cal ACP pistol minted in 1909?”.....I do not know if it was the first but the Colt 1911 was patented 4/20/1897-9/9/1902-12/19/1905-2/14/1911 and 8/19/1914. At least that is what is stamped on the one that I am looking at.
Whew! What a relief! All crime will end in Chicago thanks to liberal social engineering!
“Good job by the State Legislators helping to continue to convince out-of-staters to NOT move there.”
Illinois, California, NJ, NY, and Maryland should be pretty much non-starters, based on gun laws.
Our reps in Springfield are busy. They are also planning on ramming thru homosexual marriage.
Found a well written article that told me what I wanted to know about black powder revolvers. . .

THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!! WTF!
They’re trying to get a law passed that would get to the SCOTUS after Obunghole gets a new anti-gun justice installed. That way they can rule it constitutional, and the communists can proceed to try and disarm all of us.
“Opportunity knocks. Open a gun shop selling black powder arms.”
Are you sh!tting me? Shall Not Be Infringed!
Yeah¿¿¿
Come get em.
Great time to be a Blackstone Ranger.
Looks like the Revolutionary War II will begin in Illinois.

I have owned and been shooting cap and ball black powder revolvers for over 40 years and one thing the article did not mention is that if put a bees wax wad (cut out of a sheet of wax with a .45 case) on top of each lead bullet in the cylindar after loading, it allows you to fire several cylindars full of black powder without fouling. By adding some Butterbore to the cylindar pin on an 1858 Remmington I have been able to fire almost 100 rounds without fouling.
