Reuters) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton briefly left New York-Presbyterian hospital on Wednesday, only to return about 15 minutes later, the New York Daily News reported.

The State Department declined to comment on where Clinton may have gone or the status of her hospital stay. She was admitted for treatment of a blood clot in a vein behind her right ear.

Reporters witnessed Clinton leaving the hospital with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and daughter, Chelsea, and an aide. They drove away with a security detail and a man wearing a white coat and a stethoscope.

She returned to the hospital about 15 minutes later, the Daily News reported. She had not been seen in public since December 7.

A hospital spokeswoman directed all questions about Clinton, 65, to the State Department, which had no immediate comment.

Clinton's health has drawn intense media scrutiny given that she is widely considered a strong candidate for the Democratic nomination for president should she decide to run in 2016.

She probably left her copy of the biography of Sir Edmund Hillary and rushed back to retrieve it.

They probably had to restart the insurance requirements for a stay in the hospital because she was well enough to be released. Now she can’t testify and the hospital will be fined under Obamacare for a re-admittance.

They were happy because she was LEAVING the hospital. Most likely had no idea she would be right back.

See #59, she may have been dismissed from that hospital building and been driven to another building.

I hope she doesn’t die..... Because she looks like death warmed over...

I could not take the month long funeral.... Wailing and hashing of teeth...

Endless media fawning....endless stories of her life and greatness...

It would be a farce like no other ....

When I first saw her leaving the hospital with sunglasses, I thought body double. Now with this returning to the hospital minutes later...

Hillary Clinton Makes Brief Appearance Outside Hospital

WASHINGTON WIRE HOME PAGE

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton briefly left the New York City hospital building where she has been since Sunday, igniting speculation that she had been discharged and was going home. But she remains hospitalized after evidently making a short trip to another building in the large hospital complex.

Photos and video showed Mrs. Clinton walking to a car, wearing sunglasses and a coat, with husband Bill and daughter Chelsea at her side. She apparently returned to the original building later.

She was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia on Sunday for treatment of a blood clot in her head. The blood clot, found during an MRI that same day, was the latest health setback in the past month for Mrs. Clinton, who became ill with a stomach virus during an overseas trip, then fainted and fell, suffering a concussion.

Interesting that she’s holding onto her daughter and not her husband.

Any hospital that I have ever been to, even if you're being released for a sprained wrist, makes you ride in a wheelchair from your room to the door of your transportation. The hospital does not want to be sued for any injury you incur on their property. Once you are in your car any injury is your responsibility.

My good lord, you would think anyone being even transferred to another building would be pushed there in a wheelchair and not driven by a car.

I thought we were supposed to be living in a country with open government but I think it is getting more like Hugo Chavez government and the secrecy about his health.
