I had to explain this to my lady friend (who voted Republican in 2012, although she is a life long Democrat):
I do not care whether or not the HI BC is a forgery. I accept it as the only document available and so do most people. It is apparent that no one in power to challenge O’s eligibility cares whether or not it is a forgery.
They all miss the point. Barack Hussein Obama Senior was not an American citizen. He was a Kenyan National, subject of the British Crown at the time of Barack’s conception, at birth, and until Senior’s death.
Unless Barack changes his claim of being the son of the senior Obama (i.e. American citizen Frank Marshall is his daddy), he is ineligible to be President. Period—end of conflict.
This is insane. We have a usurper in the White House, whose major achievements in office not only are unconstitutional on their face, his authority to sign anything into law, to make appointments and to govern as Chief Executive should be argued on the basis of paternity alone.

Here what you need to get over: Obama has been certified as the president twice. Twice! Despite these incontrovertible State Department links, no one with any power to stop this seems to have noticed that he is not eligible for this. Hillary Clinton's primary campaign failed to point this out, as did the McCain campaign and the Romney campaign. I'll bet everyone involved in those campaigns is sitting at home right now wishing they'd found that State Department link. Then they'd be president, right?
Finally, even if there were a faint hint of credibility in any of this birther nonsense, the net result would be PRESIDENT BIDEN. Oh boy! Sign me up for that!

I'm not defending Obama. I'm defending the integrity of what is considered part of the "conservative movement." I think we have enough red meat on taxes, pro-life and liberty. We don't need to put fealty to crackpot conspiracy theories on the list. It makes us lose credibility.

A baby is born. What country is it a citizen of? No country? The country of one or both parents?
If your mother was an American citizen, you were born an American citizen. Your mom didn't have to fill out any paperwork or anything. You were a citizen at the time of birth.

I can't agree with the crackpot part, but it seems clear that the courts want no part of this problem. At this point, the Supreme Court would rule 9-0 in favor of Obama because they simply could not say that they just sat around for more than four years and allowed an unqualified person to be president. Also, wouldn't that require that they declare void all of his acts as president?
So, if anything is to be done, it will have to be done by the politicians. The House has the sole power of impeachment. If the House doesn't impeach, there is no remedy.

The House certifies the election in the first place. Why would the House impeach a President for being ineligible for the thing they said he was eligible for in the first place? So yeah, that's not going to happen.
As far as the Supreme Court goes, nobody ever asked them. They aren't some kind of judicial strike force that can come out an nullify an election because they don't like it.
First, you cannot prove that he was born in in the US, (niether can he for that matter) second, OUR own State Dept recognizes his dual citizenship.

Anyone sentient person who attended grade school in the 1950s and early 1960s knows this is not true. In those days we spent a substantial amount of time on the founding of the US and Government. Not just one grade, but several during the elementary through Jr High School experience.
The meaning of natural born citizen was very clear. If Obama's father was in fact Barrak Sr. as Barry claims, then Barry is definitely NOT a natural born citizen. Does not matter if he was popped out in in Honolulu, Hawaii or Rabbit Hash, Kentucky.

Apparently, it is really hard to figure out, because according to reliable sources, Obama has been president for four year and will be president again for another four years. So either:
1. He's eligible.
2. There is a massive global conspiracy involving pretty much anybody with any actual authority to cover up what is -- according to the birthers -- really obvious.
Occam's razor suggests #1, but I suppose Occam was in on the conspiracy too, huh?

Yes, they could. You are absolutely correct. They would, however, have to explain in the proceedings why they let him be president in the first place. This could happen if new information came to light, but there's absolutely nothing new in the case against Obama's eligibility.

That's not how courts work. Someone has to bring a case to them and it has to be within their jurisdiction.
