Adam Lanza wore earplugs, rapidly changed clips, shot up cars in parking lot: report
NY Daily News ^ | 1/7/13 | PHILIP CAULFIELD

Investigators puzzled by why Sandy Hook gunman Adam Lanza wore earplugs during the massacre if he knew he was going to kill himself. Separately, evidence shows Lanza reloaded his weapon before the magazines were spent, leading to questions about whether he was influenced by the first-person shooter games he spent hours playing.

Hmmm. Me thinks you doth protest too much. Thin skinned appears to be your middle name here as evidenced by your use of personal attack.

Evidence of Autism = use of ear plugs. Hmmm. Nope. That is NOT one of the characteristics for Autism as identified in ANY diagnostic instruments or the DSM-IV or DSM-V. Sorry, but thanks for playing.

YOU did, whether intentional or not, attempt to equate Autism with violent rages, as the behavior Lanza engaged in was NOT the wearing of ear plugs, but the murder of 26 people at Sandy Hook, and one person in his mother's home.

I strongly suggest you seek help for your own rage issues.

The weapon left inside the trunk of the car was a shotgun.

Yet the Feds said it was an AR 15

Gunfire is painfully loud.
Having fired the M1 and M14 I would agree, it can be. However, I also put boo-koo rounds through an M16 and it is not loud.

No matter how many times you repeat this, there are some who simply do not want what they don’t want to hear to be repeated. The coroner, police chief and first responders all said he used the bushmaster. He used the handgun to kill himself. That was not the Bushmaster in the trunk. Thank you so much for being a voice of reason.

As for the Bushmaster, I suspect he ‘liked’ the weapon from it being in video games and perhaps that influenced his mom in purchasing it. Anything is possible.

If you are going out to take out the world, then kill yourself, why worry about you hearing?

Did the article mention if he was wearing shoes? I mean, since he was going to die anyway...

“Evidence of Autism = use of ear plugs. Hmmm. Nope.”

Wow, you can’t even be bothered to read the link where his own father talks about his autsim?

Again, because you are obviously retarded:

(1) Lanza was autisic.

(2) Autistic people often have issues with loud noises.

(3) Firearms are loud.

The video shows a shotgun being taken from the trunk, imo.

It’s clearly a shotgun shell that is ejected, imo.

It looks very much like a Saiga to me.

'As for reloading before your magazines run dry, that is taught in every shooting school in the world, and is a part of the more realistic FPS games.'

Yes, could be.

Or this was his approach to correcting a misfire. Putting in a new mag if he had a problem. It's not the correct procedure, but he might not have been taught basic sports or any other measures for misfires.

That, and he had different mags full of different types of rounds and simply wanted to see the difference in shooting. The classic ballistic gelatin observation, but with humans.

Yet the first TV witnesses said he used pistols. Perhaps the guy from the woods used the Bushmaster... the one in the cammo... or was Adam the one in cammo? No, Adam wore black, with or without a bulletproof vest. One thing for sure: this was the worst cover-up ever.

Somebody else here mentioned he was autistic...and some people with autism are affected by sounds.

I honestly think it was just SOP when he went to the range with his mom...so he stuck them in without even thinking about it.

I'm unable to access youtube right now. I'll watch this later. The problem was in all the initial reporting following the shooting, most of which was completely inaccurate. I recall on that Friday that my school staff commented on the media reports of there being a semi-auto rifle in the trunk of the car, and that the only weapons used against the victims were the handguns.

The media briefings in the days after the shooting by the coroner and the top cop provided probably the most accurate information, if one assumes these two men were telling the truth. If what the coroner reported regarding the number of wounds inflicted in each of the victims is accurate, then the AR15 style weapon (the Bushmaster) had to have been the weapon Lanza used during his attack.

Why do people continually equate mentally ill with being mentally retarded. Crazy doesn’t mean stupid.

Of course crazy people can plan intricate preparations.

The media was reporting what the witnesses were saying. Either the witnesses lied or the authorities lied.

I hadn't thought of that....but otoh, he could have bought one himself as he had no criminal record that we know of.

Still, we have no proof other than what has been reported that she even owned one....I'm at the point now where I'm questioning everything about this story.
