Shortly after the Center for Immigration Studies put out a report warning that the Student and Exchange Visitor Program was widely unregulated and abused, the Obama Administration has decided to dispose of the last restrictions instituted after 9/11 to prevent a repeat of the revolving door Saudi visa system.
The United States, a decade after Al Qaida strikes in New York and Washington, has opened its doors to Saudi nationals.
Diplomats said the administration of President Barack Obama has removed most restrictions on the entry of Saudis to the United States. They said the percentage of visa approvals for Saudis has reached unprecedented levels.
“The United States aims to raise the number of visas that it issues annually, particularly to Saudi nationals, who represent an important group,” Joseph Hood, U.S. consul-general in the Saudi city of Dhahran, said.
He said Saudi businessmen and students have been allowed to enter the United States in record numbers, with a 60 percent increase since 2010.
Hood said. “In addition, Saudi Arabia also sends a large number of students to the United States, and the number of Saudi students in the United States rivals those from India.”
The CIS report meanwhile notes that of the “Top Five M-1 Approved Schools” , three are flight schools.

TRY sometime to visit Saudi Arabia. I went to 3 Embassy’s in 3 countries and up to their border. They don’t like people from other countries. So then WHY are they so welcome in the USA? I just wanted to take a few Bibles on my visit and leave them lying around for them to read. Some of my friends from Mexico did this, and WENT TO JAIL. WHY ARE THEY such a friend of the USA if they don’t have any freedoms...
The nomination of Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense caused me to do a lot of research to refresh my memory on the Hagel / Islamic ties. Clarice Feldman, using the name, Fedora, was doing a lot of work on the Joe Wilson brouhaha when someone noticed that Chuck Hagel had many of the same Islamic ties as Wilson. The name Abduraham Alamoudi kept popping up in searches for both men.
Then, Alamoudi went to jail for terrorist connections and involvement in the Libyan plot to kill the Saudi King. Holder released Alamoudi from jail three years early, but sealed the records so that no one knows why Holder released him.
Now, it gets more interesting because Alamoudi was part of the Muslim Brotherhood in the US and was tied to members high up in both the Democrat and Republican parties (Grover Norquist). Then, Obama turns around, after releasing Alamoudi and requests that Saudi Arabia supply arms to the Libyan rebels in BENGHAZI to use against Ghadafi.
So, maybe it was the disposition of those Saudi Arms that was being discussed in Benghazi when the ambassador was killed.
Anyway. I wish we had someone like Fedora at FreeRepublic who could lead Freepers in doing this research, but there is no one left.

The Saudis have been told that opponents of Gaddafi need anti-tank rockets and mortars as a first priority to hold off attacks by Gaddafi’s armour, and ground-to-air missiles to shoot down his fighter-bombers.
Supplies could reach Benghazi within 48 hours but they would need to be delivered to air bases in Libya or to Benghazi airport. If the guerrillas can then go on to the offensive and assault Gaddafi’s strongholds in western Libya, the political pressure on America and Nato — not least from Republican members of Congress — to establish a no-fly zone would be reduced.
More proof that the president doesn’t give a crap about the safety of the US.
The political elite would love to have another incident like 9/11, so they can take away even more of our rights, they are intentionally letting our guard down, they are out of control, they enjoy turning this country into a police state.
How else you expect him to move the New American Aristocracy into the country?
A good point, we shouldn’t grant advantages to foreign residents they wouldn’t grant to our citizens in their nation. Imagine if we forbid Saudis from bringing Korans and prayer rugs here.
He’s not incompetent. He reads the teleprompter like a professional demogogue. And the people behind him, who program the teleprompter, are also not incompetent. Call it what you wish, treason/subversion/sedition/whatever, but they’re far from incompetent. (Alas, we wish they were).
