No matter what happens, the Dems will not be blamed for anything. Remember, Democrats are always given credit (for anything) and the Republicans are always blamed (for everything). Got it?
CNN is so funny.
I guess Reid told them to make his minions look important.
This assumes that the House Republicans will just roll over on gun control.
If they persist, there may be some fairly rapid annoyance manifestations.
The Dims got a problem getting their Dim Senators from states like Montana to pass any anti-gun legislation.
Exactly. It was easy for Obama to take on this fight because he doesn’t face reelection but he’s leaving a lot of democrats twisting in the wind.
Democrats in the United States Senate up for election in 2014:
Alaska - Mark Begich
Arkansas - Mark Pryor
Colorado - Mark Udall
Delaware - Chris Coons
Hawaii (special) - Brian Schatz
Illinois - Richard Durbin
Iowa - Tom Harkin
Louisiana - Mary Landrieu
Massachusetts - John Kerry
Michigan - Carl Levin
Minnesota - Al Franken
Montana - Max Baucus
New Hampshire - Jeanne Shaheen
New Jersey - Frank Lautenberg
New Mexico - Tom Udall
North Carolina - Kay Hagan
Oregon - Jeff Merkley
Rhode Island - Jack Reed
South Dakota - Tim Johnson
Virginia - Mark Warner
West Virginia - Jay Rockefeller
Ummm...
I needs to get out of the house first.
Reid doesn’t even want them to.
The whole purpose of what happens in the Senate will be to give Dem Senators a chance to vote against new disarmament laws.
...So they can look conservative to the voters.
Kabuki theater, a total farce.
Sure, that makes sense. Why should the House bust their ass and pass a bill to the Senate if the Senate's just gonna sit on it?
Let the Senate get off their ass first.
Lots of major hunting states there (I know the 2nd isn’t about hunting but it matters)
Right off the top we can count Kerry as a full nazi vote, followed by Durbin, Franken most definitely, probably Brian Schatz, Jeanne Shaheen, Lautenberg, Reed, and probably the rest of the northeastern dems.
“Senate Democrats hold key to passage of gun legislation.”
And free men hold the key to it’s repeal if passed.
Funny, the FR ad above that I see is Reagan a Republican famous for supporting gun bans.
The 2nd Amendment STANDS.
Bump THAT list! Thank you!!
Ooooh, Kay Hagan! I need to sit down and write a letter...
No matter how many times they repeat the talking points that somehow disarming the American public is “REASONABLE”, we have to counter that it really ISN’T.
Nothing Obama said today has anything to do with stopping school shootings.
