WASHINGTON - An influential group of business CEOs is pushing a plan to gradually increase the full retirement age to 70 for both Social Security and Medicare and to partially privatize the health insurance program for older Americans.
The Business Roundtable's plan would protect those 55 and older from cuts but younger workers would face significant changes. The plan unveiled Wednesday would result in smaller annual benefit increases for all Social Security recipients. Initial benefits for wealthy retirees would also be smaller.

CEO’s are entering politics as corporate welfare queens, social liberals. They have no respect for freedom except for their own freedom to shake down the US treasury and purchase favor among politicans.
After the bailouts and the global warming lie for Federal business money and tax schemes, we can unload the myth about CEO’s being interested in free markets. After they supported Obama, we can unload the lie that they respect constituional freedom for anyone but themselves.
GE’s CEO has come out of the closet to demand China’s “efficient” marxist system replace our own system of government.
I am no liberal but many CEO’s fancy themselves “progressives.” They can go to hell.
I am working up my application right now. I turn 66 on April 4th and I am going to take it then, even though it will be taxed. I have paid into it since 1964 and I am going to get whatever return on my forced “investment” I can get.

New workers in the U.S. will be offered meaningless incentives and commissions in lieu of a liveable wage...With zero benefits offered...

Exactly right, I’m 43 and have been paying in since 1985. Heres the deal, Government will never pay “us” out what we paid in, ever.
Accept that, it’s like crying over a steak the dog ate, it’s never coming back, except a poop the next morning on a walk.
I will share something that State employees (a bit off-topic as it about CALPERS vs. SS). My mother-in-law worked for a state university and when she contributed to her pension plan each month, at the end of the year, CALPERS would match her contribution 100%. This is the other dirty little secret to the billions broke State retirement plans. To not freak out the public, the state and the media don’t tell you these over-inflate the contribution numbers by say 95-99% whereas a private employer gives 1-5% annual matching.
Defined benefits present better when the low-information voter cannot piece together that a state worker’s comp is really closer to the rich they are whipped up to despise.
No need to file seperately. The deductions that come from being a landlord and having a small company that sometimes makes money and sometimes doesn’t knock our actual tax bill to near zero. We take every single legal deduction available...for example...I coach PAL football. I can deduct mileage to and from every meeting, practice and game. It all adds up.

In fact, most don’t realize it, but all those running these fat corps do now is having meetings and sit around concocting and developing schemes to pay the workers less and make them work longer and harder...Work harder for less money.
Those at the top and and in government are economically gang raping the tax payers. They’ll keep their profits and lifestyles propped up on the backs of the tax paying peasants at all costs.
If it means forcing people to work into their 70s and 80s, they do it!

Sounds like the people who chose to work for the government made a very wise decision. At 49, I know I wish I had.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have ALL goveco imployees have to wait until thay are 70 years old to draw retirement.
The Business Roundtable only allows the largest corporations to be members. It's a sister organization of Big Government. Describing them as representing business CEO's is highly inaccurate. They don't even represent a majority of CEO's.
