There were no “accidental” firings at the Grassy Knoll shooting range today. They have an unblemished safety record.
I can’t fathom anyone not knowing the state of their weapon, this is beyond stupid, makes me think it’s setup.
I have been around guns of various types all my life, both as a civilian and in the military and I would never be so stupid as to not make sure a gun was empty before I took it anywhere. Like all the folks that accidentally shoot themselves while cleaning their gun ... BS.

Exactly. What if it wasn’t an accident? What if it was just another attempt to get gun shows banned. I don’t put anything past these leftists.
Be interesting to know more about the guy that brought the loaded gun- is he a lefty who bought a shotgun, rigged it to go off easily, gets himself a Carhart shirt and then goes off to the gun show to cause an accident?

I *hate* hearing the term “Accidental Discharge”. In almost every case “Negligent Discharge” applies. And I’m ready to jump in with that on ever occasion.
Sounds like someone is not making sure that the guns are checked and cleared at the door...
We have a few “stupids” in our own group so we must stand up for reasonable “safety rules” in order to head off the Leftist gun-banners.
The NRA’s main focus, for now, should be on gun-safety at home and when out in the public. Defang the Left before they can bite.

I would say the NRA kinda got lazy. For awhile the Eddie Eagle and 3 rules about destroying what’s in front of the muzzle were big points. After 9/11, the pro gun side got lazy. The opposition though has been waiting to jump, and they got their combination of timing and level to do so.
Not too often a gun “accidentally discharges”. Someone either touches the trigger when they shouldn’t, or a defect, accompanied by motion/jarring” allows the firing pin to release.
