I almost hope that a Republican congressman or senator with guts would come out with a bill to force the Federal Government (or State even if it’s a state rep) to legally recognize things like polygamist, incestual, etc marriages. Of course he/she would disagree with them but it would be a symbolic gesture that once you allow for a legal definition of marriage as something besides a man and a woman you really have no leg to stand on to limit it to anything if it is between two adults. Maybe something like that would shock folks enough or show them where their logic goes.

It certainly seems like a losing battle and I am a big fan of secession.
Secession is the logical conclusion.
The problem we face as conservatives, is that we actually read and understand the implications of public policy.
Take 0bamacare as an example, we can quickly extrapolate rationing as a necessity, yet when that is expressed, we are seen as crazy right wing lunatics. Then, after it’s passed they admit that there will need to be some rationing.
It’s like arguing with a child.
The issue is that we can’t win those arguments since any reasoning of cause and effect or human nature are completely absent from their thought process.
Our reasoning becomes just one crazy possibility vs. their reasoning and all becomes relative.
As a result, given the “new relative” possible outcomes, support for the here and now policies remain intact.
It’s not results that matter, it’s intentions.
