I remember her too. After her parents were killed, she ran for Texas Congress and with Jerry Patterson got our concealed carry permits thru to Ann Richards (born with a silver spoon). She wouldn’t sign it so we fired her and got GW. he signed it.
Yes Suzanna Gratia Hupp is VERY impressive to listen to. I can’t believe that didn’t end it right there.

I never knew the hotel next door to the Luby’s was having a police convention. The hotel was a “gun free hotel” and all the officers had to run to their cars for their guns before they could help the cafeteria.
