Ironic, isn’t it, that we have to get unvarnished news from Pravda in Russia, because we can’t get unvarnished news from Pravda-USA.

Pravda does mean "truth".

Of course the Russians and others in the old Soviet Union used to say: "There is no truth in Truth", but I guess it sounds better in Russian. I should ask my sister in law, or step niece. They are native Russian speakers.

Now it's the New York Times and Washington Post, not to mention the TV alphabets, which contain no truth.
