Maryland Senate Committee Limits Public Testimony at Second Amendment Hearing

Charlotte, NC --(Ammoland.com)- The Maryland Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the Governor’s gun control legislation, Senate Bill 281, is underway and crowds of thousands of Second Amendment supporters have shown up in Annapolis to oppose this draconian gun control measure.

Opponents of S.B. 281 have overwhelmed the Maryland State House and have maxed out building capacity! About 3,000 people, at the time of writing, have registered to testify on this important issue. Every one of them deserves an opportunity to speak in defense of their rights as anti-gun legislators seek to take those rights away.

However, NRA-ILA has learned that the amount of testimony that the Senate committee will hear is being limited to eight hours total. This means citizens who are very near to having their right to self-defense taken away are, as a group, being limited to a mere four hours, thus disenfranchising the thousands of people who have come to Annapolis to make their elected officials aware of their strong opposition to this bill. Not only is the Maryland Senate considering infringements upon your Second Amendment rights with this anti-gun legislation, they are willing to restrict your free speech so they don’t have to listen to reason about why SB 281 is a major step in the wrong direction.

If we can limit the number of rounds in a firearm magazine, we can limit the number of pages in a Playboy magazine. The same specious utilitarian logic that applies to the first also applies to the second.

Mass Education on the Rights of a Jury is the answer, history tells us it works, which is why Government doesn’t want you to know. Try asking for a copy of the US Constitution if you are ever on a jury, the answer will be flat out NO. Which should tell you something about the Validity of your States Laws.

The unions in Wisconsin failed to tear down the building and they lost. not that it would have done them any good ~ the legislature can meet anywhere they please in an emergency.

Maryland's problem is it's been taken over by neo-nazis in blackface.

Education of the jury pool is the next great opportunity for liberty-oriented people to throw their energies into. If we cannot change leftist government, we can sure disable its ability to convict people of violation of laws and regulations having the weight of law that patently offend the Constitution. It will drive the left nuts (redundant) to use their own tactics against them.

And the first step should be to Require Every Juror be given a Copy of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution upon being summoned for Jury Duty

I was there. The line to register to testify was at least 3,000 long. Plus another 10,000 outside for the rally. Heck there were so many people, traffic was stopped on the freeway exit.

We have had enough.

Quote of the day “In a society of wolves, you do not fight back by creating more sheep.” Dan Bongino, former USSS Agent and US Senate Candidate. Hopefully future Governor.

Thanks for the report. I have not heard anything on “news” broadcasts this morning. I guess it ranks with coverage on the March for Life in DC every January. Zero!

There was a huge turnout last week in Hartford at gun control hearings. 1300 people signed up to speak. Everyone who wanted to got the chance.

I reflected on all the facets of each hearing and submitted this video to all 187 legislators as my testimony. Please use it anywhere else if it helps.

My wife was at the March for Life and was visibly upset by the complete total news blackout. Veterans of the event reported it as the largest ever.

Yes, but Clownshoes O’Malley thinks this is his path to the White House.

As I said about Little Mario, it might help get him the nomination, but it loses him a bunch of southern and western states.

It isn’t even popular here, so I’m not sure why he’s getting into a pissing contest with Cuomo over this. Just seems shortsighted and stupid to me.
