Yeah, they are stupid but they feel so good about themselves when they do the stuff they do! It’s all about feelings ya know! Feelings and “giving back”! So what if most of their stuff doesn’t work!

I started reading this http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2986673/posts [Democratic Ohio Poll Watcher: Yeah, I Voted For Obama Twice] yesterday and got so mad I had to make a double Scotch on the rocks to get unticked.

We wish it is satire but I’m not so sure of it.

Most of my immediate family - for reasons that still elude me - moved to Carteret County after I left home four decades ago. The society there has, quite frankly, cornered the market on low IQs and (to the extent they think at all) on non-critical thought. It’s an ongoing reality show of the worst sort. Even the gorgeous scenery along the coast is constantly obstructed by Guinness Book of World Record “Fattest Person” contenders.

My closest relatives there all dropped like flies almost in unison about two years ago, leaving behind offspring mixed with the local gene pool that have either wisely moved away, or landed in prison, so I doubt I’ll be back.

The writer is brilliant. He is illustrating the absurdity of Liberals with their own words.

Are the commenters unable to read the post as obvious irony (please, not satire, irony!) allowed to vote?!

Agree, satire at it’s very best. As is, “A Modest Proposal”, Jonathan Swift (1729).

"I don’t know the exact statistics, but I’m quite certain that Chicago is a lot safer that Morehead City, when it comes to gun violence."

Life's hard. It's a lot harder when you're STOOPID!

How do we know this is satire...

Beaufort, N.C. Jan. 17, 2013 TO THE EDITOR: Republicans and “so-called” conservatives are at it again. (NOTE: a democrat would not separate republicans from so called conservatives)

They are claiming that the Constitution gives people the right to have guns without the permission of the government. (NOTE: Constitution is capitalized, but government is not, a democrat would have reversed the capitalization)

If that were true, then how could New York and Chicago have laws against it? We Democrats are sick and tired of Republicans constantly using the Constitution to cover up their true plans, which are to make us all afraid of everyone else. (NOTE: true democrats know they are the Democratic Party and do not call themselves democrats, as they believe it is a bejoritive)

Our great president came from a civilized part of the country where there is strict gun control, and he is only trying to bring the benefits of that more modern way of living to the rest of us. (NOTE: a democrat would have capitalized Great President out of respect for the man and only a democrat would think chicago is civilized)

I don’t know the exact statistics, but I’m quite certain that Chicago is a lot safer that Morehead City, when it comes to gun violence. (NOTE: i am not sure where morehead city is but chicago is the #1 most dangerous city...)

But do Republicans and conservatives listen to the voice of reason? No, of course not. All they want to do is whine and complain about how gun control and wealth redistribution violate the Constitution, as if the Constitution were all that great, anyway. (NOTE: reason would side with the constitutionalists, ere the irony)

There are a lot of things that need to be changed about the Constitution, I’d say, and President Obama needs to change it. The Republicans are just trying to stand in the way, because the president is black. (NOTE: again, a democrat would capitalize President and Black, uh, African-American)

They even dared to question whether he was born in this country. I think all this demonstrates that the Constitution needs to be amended when it comes to the qualifications for being president. (NOTE: why would democrats need to change this... it is working in their favor right now)

Right now, it says that a person has to be 35 years old and be a natural born citizen. Well, that is obviously unfair because there are a great many otherwise qualified people who cannot run for president because their mothers had to have a C-section. (NOTE: just a clever, funny line and only conservatives could be that clever)

But because the Constitution was written a hundred years ago, nobody even thought of the discrimination that would result from a doctor having to deliver a baby in this unnatural way. (NOTE: democrats don’t care when it was written, it is a living and breathing document, ever changing.)

Now that we Democrats are in control of the government, that’s just one more thing we should change in our drive to make life fair. (NOTE: democrat low information voters do not think the democrats are in charge, they see the republicans as being forever obstructionists.)

Please withhold my name because I don’t want to get crank calls. PROUD TO BE A DEMOCRAT

(NOTE: Proud member of the Democratic Party)

next week, how to tell when the government means to raise your taxes.

Did the newspaper identify it as satire? How do you know it is satire, for a fact?

..”But because the Constitution was written a hundred years ago...”

That is just ONE of many great idiotic statements, my ‘favorite’ is:
“Please withhold my name because I don’t want to get crank calls. PROUD TO BE A DEMOCRAT”

Crank calls is the least of his worries. Just to be ID’d would be embarrassing enough...

Yeah, it was a tough call. It took me a while to settle on a favorite. I think it’s my favorite because it’s so obvious, and at the same time so universally overlooked.
