Exclusive: North Korea tells China of preparations for fresh nuclear test
By Benjamin Kang Lim
BEIJING | Fri Feb 15, 2013 8:31am EST
(Reuters) - North Korea has told its key ally, China, that it is prepared to stage one or even two more nuclear tests this year in an effort to force the United States into diplomatic talks with Pyongyang, said a source with direct knowledge of the message.
Further tests could also be accompanied this year by another rocket launch, said the source who has direct access to the top levels of government in both Beijing and Pyongyang.
The isolated regime conducted its third nuclear test on Tuesday, drawing global condemnation and a stern warning from the United States that it was a threat and a provocation.

N Korea is probably passing information technology to Iran.

I concur.
So how does the world let a madman slaughter his own people and threaten everyone with nuclear war?
People are going to die either way and are dying now of starvation and execution. The citizens of the world can resolve this or the madman, or his heirs, will.

They have been for a long time.
NK also sent many nuke and missile technicians to Iran. They are going back and forth. Their military cooperation started back in 80’s, which evolved into joint development of missile and nuclear weapon's technology.

Question: What do you call it when a small nation spends tens of millions of dollars to build nuclear weapons that they don’t need for defense only to detonate them in underground tests in a game of brinksmanship while their economy regresses to the stone age and tens of thousands of their people starve every year?
Answer: Madness.

None of which would work. Because you don't think China has the power over NK, or because you don't think China cares about a nuclear armed Japan?

They are working together on nuke and missile technologies. Probably also the chem/bio weapons.

Because China thinks they are the big kid on the block and won’t respond well to ultimatums from anyone including us. They know our dear leader lacks the stones to do anything.
And no China doesn’t care about a nuclear Japan. NK is building a bomb for America, not for anyone else.

Because China thinks they are the big kid on the block and wont respond well to ultimatums from anyone including us. They know our dear leader lacks the stones to do anything. And no China doesnt care about a nuclear Japan. NK is building a bomb for America, not for anyone else. Forgetting Obama, they would have no other way to respond. "Like it or lump it" being the catch phrase. A big part of their keeping "big kid" status is Japan remaining non-nuclear. I'm quite certain they care about Japan going nuclear.
China has a great deal of influence over NK. While NK is willing to starve millions and is thus resistant to pressure from the outside world, they are not capable of withstand being cut off from China.
China may like to think of itself as immune to pressure, but its not. Japan tying nuclear capability to NK force their hand.
The trick would be getting the Japanese on board to just do it, no threat, no ultimatum, just an announcement that it will happen. Giving China the alternative through backdoor channels would allow them to save face. They would act, then Japan would decide they no longer needed to go nuclear.
China supports NK because it is a convenient proxy to hit our pressure points. The natural answer would be to make NK a bigger pain for China than they are for us.

We’ll have to shoot one of those meteors over North Korea like we did Russia today. That will settle them down...

Obama will cavalierly, with his hands off leadership approach and hate of America, do as much to protect the American populace in the face of this grave threat, as he will toward one of his own Ambassadors, Chris Stevens in Benghazi. And that is, NOTHING. He will leave countless millions out to dry, who could be evaporated. His lack of inaction, whilst DOD and CIA show the impending threat, could even go so far as to precipitate a US military coup d'etat in my opinion, if they analyzed his lack of action and dedication to being lost for long hours or being on the golf course took precedence over preparing us civil defense wise and full front deployment of US military assets to challenge and bring down Kim Jong Un and his nuke regime.

Curious you mentioned the Japanese. As it happens it’s the Souks that have the most to lose if the Norks get frisky. And just yesterday the Chicoms had a pretty detailed news story about the Souks explaining some of their capability. They just shot off a surface polaris style missile and a sub launched cruise missile in plain view of the Norks complete with a highly visible Israeli style bunker hit. The South guy was carefully explaining how they could put their missiles thru any particular office window in Norkland. I’m guessing the Souks have figured out they can’t depend on Obamuzzie on any particular day so they are willing to light it up if they get spooked———and they have some really good matches.

I have family in SK. For the most part South Koreans love America but don’t have much use for the American Govt. They don’t wait around much.
They don’t want war but most of the people I’ve spoken with expect it some day.

From National Review to Cargenie Endowment for Peace and every pundits in-between, they all say nuclear NK is forgone conclusion and let's try to contain proliferation of NK nuke tech? Basically waving a white flag. For all years, they say NK doesn't have it, their claim of HEU facility is a bogus, NK would give up nuke if we give right carrots, we are putting NK into the corner so they act irrational(give them a room and they would do something rational. You know the whole drill from so-called experts. They are all WRONG, WRONG, and WRONG. They have never been right and never will. They raise the monster called Chicom empire. Oh, they so loved making money out of China. How could two countries both having McDonalds can fight? They all work it out like rational agents in a free market. Now they don't know what to do. Cannot take any drastic steps for fear of popping barely reflated financial bubble. Obama also want expansion of NPT, and cut down nuke arsenal. So he will go after either SK or Japan if they feel threatened enough to acquire their own nukes. They will be mean and ruthless to their allies but not their mortal enemies, NK and China. It won't change. They are simply incapable of acting any other way. They will always take the easy way out. Hold the deteriorating status quo(it's getting worse for U.S.)and if necessary sacrifice allies to do it. In the mean time, appease and bribe adversaries for the same reason.
