The Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted 267-151 on Wednesday to approve a $982-billion continuing resolution (CR) to fund the federal government through the rest of fiscal 2013 that fully funds the implementation of Obamacare during that period.
The House Republican leaders turned aside requests from groups of conservative members to include language in the bill that would have withheld funding for implementation of all of Obamacare, or, alternatively, that would have withheld funding for the Obamacare regulation that requires health-plans to provide cost-free coverage for sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs. …
The Roman Catholic bishops of the United States have unanimously declared that the sterilization-contraception-abortifacient regulation—whose enforcement will now be carried out with funds approved by the Republican-controlled House—is an “unjust and illegal mandate” that violates the “personal civil rights” of individual Americans. …

It is the Republican Party. Boehner is the symptom, not the problem.
We have lost the culture war. Not surprisingly since both parties have been against us all along.
The people had best be thinking about how to prepare for the repercussions of losing the culture war. How far are we willing to go to remain free men? We are going to be given some pretty stark (and bleak) choices in the near future.
The vast majority of the country now positively hates our believes about marriage and sexuality. That includes the Blue Blood Republicans like Boehner. Heck, they were pro-abortion and pro-contraception before the Democrats started making abortion their litmus test—so that the Country Clubbers could take get rid of the evidence of their “indiscretions.”
They hate us and anyone who stands for traditional sexual and marital morality. That includes Boehner.
The only way out now is through the fire. 2/3 of the country wants sexual license, libertinism. And they will fight like hell to keep things that way. We are their worst enemies and they know it. We must be crushed.

Lincoln's lofty hope seems to be in immediate danger. I had hoped that the Republicans would stand up for freedom, but no luck there. Government of the people, by the people, and for the people is flickering like a match in the wind.
