If serious opposition to them is to be mounted, the first task is to take on and refute the,"We only wish to control crime by getting guns off the street." and "We are trying to stop the killing by taking guns out of the hands of"amateurs", etc.Nothing could be further from the truth. Gun control is people control, pure and simple. That and that alone is what the gun control crowd is after.

Granted, there have been no more hi jackings but, by the same token, armed air crewmen/women and the possibility of armed passengers would have the same result. And both their and their wives private parts would not have been violated. Along with their honor being intact.But, who gives a damn about such mundane things as honor and freedom nowadays when we can be "secure". Once the power and control hungry politicians saw that they could get away with publicly raping and sexually assaulting the sheep,they knew that for them the sky was the limit. Just phrase what they wanted to do to the sheep in terms of "Security" and "safety". That, my FRiend is where we are at now. As the voting results of the 2012 election showed, over 51 % of the public says to the Government"Make me secure!" "As long as I am secure, I will gladly be your slave!" The independent, self reliant, responsible American has gone the way of the DoDo bird. A few remain, but they are a dying breed. They are being replaced by the Metro sexual male and the feminized male. I deliberately did not use the pronoun "man", because "men" in the United States of America are becoming scarce as hen's teeth. As manhood vanishes in America, so does America's heritage and culture.
If background checks only applied to checking the background of the buyer and didn't list the type and serial number of the gun I would be more amiable toward it. We have background checks now and I do not like this part of it.
