A retired four-star admiral is now claiming that Barack Obama intentionally conspired with America’s enemies to stage a bogus attack and the kidnapping of an American ambassador so he could “negotiate” the release of a “hostage” and bolster his mediocre approval ratings just prior to the election!

Indeed, this is not new talk... the context from months ago was that the "hostage" being referred to was none other than the Blind Sheik... a live Stevens would be traded for a live Sheik. However, a dead-Stevens - live Sheik trade doesn't look so hot, especially for purposes of the November election.

How can anyone press a case against the administration? Benghazi is so well covered up that nobody can name a survivor of the attack let alone get any information from them.
As I recall there was some speculation on this very scenario several months ago right here on FreeRepublic. Given the coverup that has been ongoing, the idea is worth consideration.

I agree with you. If this is true, the best we can hope for is that it will receive enough media coverage to negatively impact Obama's poll numbers for the remainder of his presidency. The big benefit would be that it would damage Hillary's credibility to the point where she would have to forget about a run for the White House in 2016.
Obama could fondle Justin Beeber on the White House lawn and the mob will roar approval. Everyone who could really take action is afraid of the Obamabot mob.
