To hell with the leadership. This whole issue is about votes. They don’t want to fall any further back than they are. Well they can capture a few % of the vote with this but they lost mine.
We’ve been years behind Europe for the past several years. When they question social programs we expand ours. When parties are gaining strength there looking to slow down or maybe even reverse the destruction of their values we’re going to look to hasten ours.
Let the politicians left and right do this. They’ll not get my vote again.
I live in solid Blue Maryland so that would be an empty threat.

Amnesty fever is spreading in GOP and Mitt Romney certainly inadvertently helped by getting Hispanics out to vote against him, scaring the daylights out of others in GOP.
The current GOP has little to offer these people that they want.
