Bureaucrats from 150 nations are ramping up efforts to impose gun control through international pact. Here in the United States, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty has become the vehicle to drive an agenda that is deeply controversial because once a treaty is ratified by the Senate, it becomes the supreme law of the land.
Last week, Secretary of State John F. Kerry — no friend of the Second Amendment — announced support for the treaty, which calls for international regulations on firearms, including personal firearms as well as military weapons. During the presidential campaign, President Obama was evasive about his position on the treaty. Now that he has fully “evolved” on the Second Amendment, he has the “flexibility” of not having to face voters again, and is pushing for the treaty.
There are plenty of reasons to be concerned about what’s being cooked up in Turtle Bay. Proponents say the treaty is only meant to crack down on illegal gun-smuggling, and the only people who ought to be concerned are military strongmen looking for a good deal on black-market rocket launchers. Of course, there’s more to the story. The exact wording of the agreement, and more importantly, how vague passages can be interpreted and twisted by the courts, will determine what the treaty actually means. It could, for example, force America to implement a national gun-registration scheme, ban importation of weapons and impose burdensome regulations on transfers.

Seriously. A handgun works fine against an army, but without logistical preparation, it won't last against this enemy. IMO, this enemy is perfectly fine with using weaponized smallpox.
It doesn't need 67 votes to pass. It needs is 2/3 of the Senators present to concur. As a quorum for business only requires 51 Senators, this abomination could be rammed through in a surprise midnight move with as few as 34 votes!
Do you think the anti-2nd Amendment Democrats would be beneath making that sort of sneaky move? Do you think they would care?

More specifically, based on his expert knowledge of the Constitution, knowledge which all patriots should have, and also his experience as Vice President and therefore president of the Senate, Thomas Jefferson had officially noted that the president and the Senate cannot use their constitutonal power to negotiate treaties as a backdoor to force US citizens to comply with foreign laws based on powers which the states have never degated to Congress via the Constitution.
"In giving to the President and Senate a power to make treaties, the Constitution meant only to authorize them to carry into effect, by way of treaty, any powers they might constitutionally exercise." --Thomas Jefferson: The Anas, 1793."Surely the President and Senate cannot do by treaty what the whole government is interdicted from doing in any way." --Thomas Jefferson: Parliamentary Manual, 1812.
One of the reasons that the Founding States undoubtedly made the Constituton's Article V where treaties are concerned is the following. When the Senate needs to negotiate a point in a treaty which Congress actually has no Section 8, Article I authority to address, the Senate is required to do the following. The Senate is to comply with Article V by rallying Congress to propose to the states for ratification an amendment to the Constitution which would grant Congress the specific power that it needs to negotiate the treaty. And if the states chose to ratify the proposed amendment, then the Senate would have the constitutional authority that it needs to proceed with the treaty.
But while activist justices wrongly ignored Jefferson's words when they decided Missouri v. Holland in 1920 in Congress's favor, a case where corrupt Congress had deliberately tapped the Senate's power to negotiate a treaty in order to bypass the 10th Amendment, the Supreme Court subsequently seems to have overturned Missour v. Holland as evidenced by the following excerpt from Reid v. Covert.
"2. Insofar as Art. 2(11) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice provides for the military trial of civilian dependents accompanying the armed forces in foreign countries, it cannot be sustained as legislation which is "necessary and proper" to carry out obligations of the United States under international agreements made with those countries, since no agreement with a foreign nation can confer on Congress or any other branch of the Government power which is free from the restraints of the Constitution (emphasis added)." --Reid v. Covert, 1956.
And since we cannot trust Fx News to get the word out concerning Congress working with the UN as a constitutionally indefensible backdoor to take away our 2A protected gun rights, it's up to patriots to spread the word around.
Actually that never applied to Obamacare, which was domestic legislation. This would be an international treaty... the hurdles are much higher.
First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. I don't think I could calculate the damage it would do to our family if our only beloved daughter were taken from us, even now at age 32. I think that it would almost certainly kill my wife.
First off, remember this predator hasn't gotten off scott free, not forever. Sooner or later he is going to face God's justice and I don't think I'd want to be in HIS shoes then! Second, I know we all would hope these scum would face some earthly sanctions, too. We can only hope that if he ever faces another victim that individual is well armed and highly trained and knows what to do: "Two to the chest and one to the head. We'd like 'em alive but we'll take 'em dead!"
