This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. OK...so this story is a local story and not deserving of national media attention. So why did the Newtown shooting get national media attention when that’s just a local story as well?

Referral agencies KNEW how bad this guy and his “clinic” was but NOBODY stopped him, THEY JUST STOPPED REFERRING !!!

It really isn't a local story. This was interstate crime.

Gosnell was known as a doctor who would perform abortions at any stage, without regard for legal limits. His patients came from several states, including Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, as well as from Pennsylvania cities outside the Philadelphia area, such as Allentown.

This report also makes it much easier to understand the persistent reports of serious downstream psychological issues with women who had an abortion. I dare say most of the minority women that passed through Gosnell's clinic are now psychological wrecks.
Conveniently for the pro-abortion crowd, the doctor destroyed records and no researchers can connect the women with abortion.

Thank you so very much for this. I’ve been telling people to read this report since I first read it in January of 2012. There’s no way to explain it to people....they think you’re nuts.
Personally, I think this should have a place at the top of the FR page so that it is accessible to all FReepers. Lord knows we’re pretty much the only ones talking about this story. Moderator, is it possible to post this summary of the grand jury report somewhere prominent for the duration of this trial?
God have mercy on our nation, my home state of Pennsylvania, these women and the perpetrators of these crimes. And may the gentle, sweet souls of these infants rest with Our Lord in Heaven.
I find it almost amusing that people are more concerned about Oxycontin abuse than infanticide.

National media reports local all the time. It’s just b.s. politics that this is not getting more coverage...the same reason nobody took action against the animal who did these horrible things. They should seek the death penalty if PA has it. It’s like the Buchenwald Clinic, you know. These are crimes that cry out for justice. I’m just sick from it.
It is so gruesome to read, but worse to think about how many more "clinics" like this must be operating.
There is not a penalty for Gosnell, or his whole staff, that can come close to being enough punishment for their actions. This is surely the worst horror story ever told.
