If Kermit Gosnell had shown up at a Philadelphia school and begun mowing down children with an AR-15, he would have become the poster child for gun control everyone would still be talking about. He plied his trade with scalpels, killing life in the womb, outside the womb, and keeping baby parts in jars before Planned Parenthood executives though it might be a good idea to sell them. Kermit Gosnell was a Philadelphia doctor who was charged with seven counts of first-degree murder and one count of third-degree murder for killing seven babies who survived his abortions and a woman...
  • “Gosnell” Makes Fools of Media Even More than The Gosnell Trial Did

Five years ago, the trial and conviction of abortionist and serial killer Dr. Kermit Gosnell exposed the appalling cynicism of the mainstream media. They made fools of themselves in their clumsy, unified efforts to stifle the story rather than report on it. Perhaps no event has done more to show up the establishment media as a hulking, one-sided political operation. That is, until now. The release of a new film about Gosnell has made an ass of the media even more than the killer’s trial did. The film, which you can still catch in some theaters, is Gosnell: The Trial...

Phelim McAleer, the Irish-born filmmaker who produced the new film "Gosnell" with his partner, Ann McElhinney, said the now-imprisoned Dr. Kermit Gosnell was "America's most prolific serial killer." The film, which features "What's Happening" star Earl Billings as the namesake abortion doctor and "Superman" Dean Cain as a Philly detective, opened this weekend to few formal reviews but an unexpectedly high attendance, Martha MacCallum reported. Gosnell, who ran the infamous clinic at 3801 Lancaster Ave. in the Powelton Village section of West Philadelphia for decades, was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

FULL TITLE: Democrats Should be Asked if They Support Snipping Babies’ Necks in Abortions Like Kermit Gosnell Did Whatever a person’s position on the divisive issue of abortion, one would think and hope that at the very least, people can agree that babies who are born alive, and are completely separated from their mother’s body, should be protected by law. Well, as it turns out, not even that protection is secure. About 13,000 abortions a year in the United States occur at or beyond 21 weeks of pregnancy. Phone calls with legal abortion clinics that I have commissioned and that...

The new movie about Kermit Gosnell, the notorious Philadelphia late-term abortionist eventually convicted in the deaths of three infants, made it into the Top 10 films at the box office this past weekend--an impressive feat for a crowd-funded film. But you won’t hear the mainstream media talking about it. “We were [No. 10] on Friday and Saturday, but slipped back to 12 on Sunday,” Phelim McAleer, who co-produced the film with his wife, Ann McElhinney, told The Daily Signal. “We are the No. 1 independent movie of the weekend and [No. 5] per screen average across the U.S.” “This has...

Despite a media blackout and virtually no coverage outside conservative media circles, the new movie “Gosnell” made the list of top 10 movies across the United States over the weekend. Coming in at the #10 spot, Gosnell came in ahead of other movies with much wider releases — as the film is appearing in just 673 theaters nationwide. CDespite the more limited release, Gosnell outperformed A Simple Favor, The Nun, and the blockbuster film Crazy Rich Asians. Every other movie except for one that appeared higher in the weekend top 10 list was shown to Americans in thousands of theaters....

Beyond party and ideology, let’s meet the challenge to care for women and children. There’s a scene in the new movie Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer that should launch candid conversations around the country. Alexis McGuire (played by Sarah Jane Morris), the lead prosecutor in the case against the Philadelphia abortion-clinic doctor Kermit Gosnell, is depicted at home with her husband, distraught at the reality of the horror she’s had to face in the investigation. She explains: Mother’s Day 1972. Gosnell and this psychologist bussed in 15 pregnant women from Chicago. Second trimester. They were doing this...

It’s been more than four years since over $2 million was raised through crowdfunding to make a Kermit Gosnell movie, and today, that film finally hits theaters. But you might not know that. We searched high and low for reviews of Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer among the usual suspects, but reviews by mainstream critics for the Gosnell movie are scarce. Nearly non-existent, actually.

I just saw Gosnell in the theater last night, and it is very well done. It is a huge eye-opener on the abortion industry. The acting was surprisingly good, especially the actor for dr. Gosnell. He did an excellent job at capturing the darkness and creepiness of this killer. When I last checked, this movie had 97% approval ratings from viewers and surprisingly over 60% from Critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Much Financial Risk was taken to put together this anti-abortion movie. Please take time to see it!

Editor’s note. Today is the nationwide premier of “Gosnell – The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.” We have a number of posts about a very, very important film. The ultimate driving force behind the trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell was an incredible 261 page Grand Jury report. In daily segments, NRL News Today reposted almost the entire report in 2013. What follows below comes from “Section I: Overview,” a devastating indictment of the entire bureaucratic structure which turned a blind eye to this man’s reign of terror. It is a doleful reminder that in many, many places in this...

For those who have been active in trying to rescue babies and their mothers from the horrific evil of abortion, the piercing screams and the sound of the gnashing of teeth are familiar. We hear them often when we fight for the lives of the innocent. The darkness of evil infiltrated the nation’s capital during the Senate confirmation process of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh. You could feel it as the shrills of protesters interrupted the hearings and the confirmation vote. Senators were confronted by satanic threats so real that many still require police escorts. Justice Kavanaugh and...

After I saw “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer,” I was disheartened—and at same time, incredibly thankful. I’m thankful because finally, the horrific true story of Kermit Gosnell, the late-term Philadelphia abortionist who went to prison after being convicted in connection with the deaths of three babies, is being told. But I’m depressed that such a story even exists...

The Murder Case that Put Abortion on Trial A new film is telling the details of a horror so unspeakable, it shocked federal investigators. It’s a story that needs to be told. Sometimes, a movie is not about entertainment. Sometimes, it’s about something much more important. A film can expose grave evils, and even inspire us to fight those evils. I think “Gosnell: Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer,” is just such a film. Directed by Nick Searcy, the movie dramatizes the horrific, real-life account of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the west Philadelphia abortionist whose clinic was described in a 2011...

It's here. "Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer" debuts in theaters nationwide on Oct. 12. I do believe this groundbreaking film by indie producers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney is the most important movie in America right now -- a true-life saga of good vs. evil, deadly medical malpractice, systemic government malfeasance and cultural apathy toward the most vulnerable members of our society. I first reported on this real-life horror story nearly eight years ago, but you've probably not heard or read a word about "Gosnell" in the mainstream press, TV news or online. The conspiracy of silence...

The excellent film Gosnell very effectively portrays the murderous Kermit Gosnell In a sane world, the crimes of late-term abortionist/serial killer Kermit Gosnell would receive the same Hollywood treatment as other horrifying true stories like Zodiac, Monster, and In Cold Blood. It would have a large budget, a prestigious director, and A-list stars culminating in award nominations. But, of course, in a sane world the story would have received in-depth coverage from major media outlets as well. Thus the theme of the movie is also the story of how it came to be made. As one character puts it, “[Gosnell’s]...

I went to the red carpet premiere of "Gosnell" tonight, at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills -- within shrieking distance of many bastions of showbiz liberalism: talent agencies, law firms, movie studios. But the film itself was made without the support of the entertainment-industrial complex. In fact, it was financed largely by small donors on social media. It tells the tale, in deadpan policier fashion, of the investigation and trial of Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist who initially attracted the attention of law enforcement not because he was killing born-alive infants, but rather because his unlicensed staff members were purchasing...
