For the life of me I don't understand why Schumer et. al. don't recognize this for what it is,

You don't understand the mindset of anti-gunners. They aren't against guns. They are against ordinary citizens with guns. They worship the power of the state. They probably read Solzhenitsyn and realize that armed citizenry is a check to unlimited government power. This will never do. To people like Schemer any thing that puts a check on what the government can do is evil. Good citizens/bad citizens - these concepts are irrelevant and long as the citizens are powerless to resist the government.

Anti-gunners like Schemer cannot be bargained with. First they NEVER keep their side of the bargain, and Second, they have nothing to offer. They demand everything from you and give nothing in return. Their idea of a compromise is to demand you give up A, B, C, and D and then settle for "only" taking A, B, and C. Immediately they'll come back and then demand that the D "loophole" be gotten rid of.

They cannot be reasoned with. Many people make the mistake that if they present a logical argument anti-guners will see the eror of their ways. Not true. Anti-gunners' objectives are not based on logic except the relentless logic that a disarmed populace is a populace helpless to resist the most extreme excesses of the government. And that is their end goal. and I quote "A populace where only the police and military are armed."

They feel no remorse. When they're successful at taking some of your rights, they feel elation , but immediately start working on taking the rest.

And they never stop, ever. There are only three outcomes possible

1. They win and we are enslaved with the jackboot of government on our necks forever
2. We are killed by their beloved police heroes "resisting"
3. We kill enough of them and their goons so that their menace is temporarily abated.

It isn't just Schemer, but his supporters like this b***h from Atlanta

I don't understand why Schumer et. al. don't recognize this for what it is, i.e. a GOOD THING. Concealed carry licensee are, as a class, some of the best citizens on the planet.

Chucky "Capo" Schumer isn't the least bit interested in good citizens being able to carry guns, and most especially in New York - which is "his" turf.

No. He's interested in disarming those decent and Constitutionally aware people at all costs, turning them into "criminals" so he can use the power of government to destroy them, and then get the dumb slobs who are left over to reelect he and his criminal buddies forever.
