Could be.
However, when the source if the WaPo - one must believe it about as much as one would believe a mullah, or a certain dorky president.

He set the bomb off and witnessed it going off. Richard Jewel is the real suspect.

Label him as a witness. Then after he spills his guts, let his cohorts deal with him.

The Saudi might very well be innocent but the bombing itself looks increasingly islamic inspired.

Good one. And they probably would've ignored any connection whatsoever if bystanders hadn't noticed him acting suspiciously after the blasts, tackled him and held him for authorities. It is going to be a little tough to get that toothpaste back into the tube.

If he is only a witness, guess he will be able to leave the hospital when he is healed.

Perhaps he is a “witness” because that let them hold him without charging him?

Of course he is. He probably saw a white guy in a plaid flannel shirt, Carhart coveralls and a John Deere gimme cap drop the pressure cooker bomb in the trash barrel and run from the scene, hopping into a F250 with an NRA bumpersticker on it, and speed away from the scene.
Of course. That's what happened.

I saw one report in which law enforcement officials were said to have claimed that nothing was found at the Saudi’s apartment to connect him to the crime. If true, why were officials seen carrying bags of “evidence” out of the apartment?
