Politico: NRA's Total Defeat of Obama, Media Likely
breitbart.com ^ | 16 April, 2013 | John Nolte

In the immediate aftermath of the tragic Newtown murders, Obama and His Media joined forces to exploit the deaths of innocent children for all it was worth -- with a series of laws that would have done absolutely nothing to stop the very crime they were exploiting. This naked political move to leverage the murder of innocents as an excuse to attack the National Rifle Association and gun owners, who live predominantly in red states, is about as cynical and craven as it gets.

According to Politico, though, all this soul selling is likely to come to nothing. Politico reports on Tuesday that the gun control bill Obama, liberal Democrats, Piers Morgan, Chuck Todd, and all of CNN want so desperately to pass "has little if any, chance of passing this Congress – it’s struggling in the Senate and facing outright rejection in the House."

------------------cut-----------------------

How craven were the media's politics during all of this? So craven that when the NRA's Wayne LaPierre suggested we guard school children from gun-carrying maniacs, the media publicly ridiculed him. My god, the media was despicable. And driven only by a seething hatred and bigotry towards a culture they have never bothered to try to understand.

LaPierre should train the GOP in media skills and how to handle adversaries. He’s kicked both Klintoon and Lil Barry right in the nads on gun grabbing.

I suspect some red and purple state Dems are still going down, and after the election some intra-party long knives will be out for Barry for pushing this issue on them.

Check out the Gun Owners of America, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership and the Second Amendment Foundation.

I became a life member of both the NRA and GOA. When I want to financially support a self defense organization, it's GOA.

The NRA weasel-worded their tacit support of Harry Reid by using the excuse of being a "one issue" organization. If you're a moderate, that may be ok. For a patriot, not so much.

...Obama and His Media joined forces to exploit the deaths of innocent children for all it was worth -- with a series of laws that would have done absolutely nothing to stop the very crime they were exploiting.

The ways they're going to exploit Boston will take our breath away...

Remember how easily they lied about the film during Benghazi? In fact, how it was pushed... Seems a full court press strategy is being used to separate us from our rights... not just gun rights.

It will be presented as two groups: those who want to be safe and those who don't want to be safe. ( As if anyone exists who wants to be in the second group...) The truth will be those who want to trade their freedom for the illusion of safety and those want real safety.

Watch the meme - it's forming.

I've been a life member of the NRA for about 20 years, and as a CA resident I quit giving them money about 15 years ago. They may have had some influence in this instance on the national level, but winning in Washington and losing in the states is a hollow victory.
CA has been a target rich environment for litigation for years. One only has to look to one-gun-a-month, “assault weapon” identification, restriction, and registration, the “safe gun” list B.S. and many other flagrant violations of the 2nd Amendment to see where they have failed. Now even more crap is coming down the pipeline.
Failure to defend at a state level is a big deal. These anti-2nd state reps who push this garbage through without any personal repercussions go on to become Congressional Reps. and Senators. Then they behave the same way at the Federal level.

The people have won.

Never pop the champagne cork until the votes are counted. We've been surprised before.

To be clear, it’s the Politico author who thinks tighter background checks are dandy...not the Brietbart author.

It's not the NRA, it's
We the People

And a few friends:

I, [name], having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of [rank and O-grade] do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God." (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)

Legislators realize that this law is a sham and does not help the gun violence problem. ‘It’s the street crime, stupid.’

WE ARE WINNING.

KEEP UP THE PRESSURE.

And when these treasonous bastards come up for re-election, REMEMBER, and throw their worthless arses out.

If the Constitution were a document that was meant to be changed by Feeelings, then
actors would be making amendments to it daily.

I refuse to fall into the "I understand and sympathize with her loss at Hook" trappings of the left.
I refuse because it's a given and should not be exploited. What I do understand and will say is
that she was exploited by her loss in order to exploit law abiding citizens. The Democrats and Obama should be ashamed
for taking advantage in her time of grief.

“The media is nothing more than the propaganda ministry of the democratic party. I hope Andrew Breitbart’s words are proven right: ‘all this will be gone in ten years’ (referencing the msm).”

I think this is backwards. Democrats are the enforcers for the morality of the ruling class. The media is the propaganda ministry.

” Obama’s second term record :

1) Demanding sequester tax INCREASES (failed)
2) Demanding a number of new Federal gun control measures(failed)”

GOOD START.
