The controversial moment SWAT teams ordered innocent neighbors out of their houses at GUNPOINT ...

A startling home-made video now shows the terrifying moments where Watertown residents were forced out of their homes at gunpoint as SWAT teams performed door-to-door searches as they hunted the second marathon bomber.

While millions of Bostonians waited in their houses on Friday during the city-wide lockdown, the people of Watertown were faced with SWAT officers yelling at them to get out of the buildings immediately.

At the time, the Boston police department and federal agents were barely criticized, but now many are concerned about the dangerous precedent that could lead to more police searches using the rationale of ‘exigent circumstances’ as an excuse.

The video, shot by an unidentified Watertown resident, shows a team of SWAT officers wielding semi-automatic guns bang on his neighbor’s front door and scream for them to get out of the house’.

The residents are whisked away- hands in the air, one by one- to a nearby group of officers as the SWAT team searches the house for the second shooter, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Early reports, made by journalists who were kept out of Watertown by a police barricade, said that the searches were voluntary.

Now, the video published on right-wing conservative news blog InfoWars, asserts that the searches were involuntary, as all residents were forced out of their homes whether they liked it or not.

The six-minute video shows just one search of the suburban town’s homes during the day-long lockdown. While the outside world looked to the media gathered on the perimeter of Watertown, those trapped inside the search area looked outside to scary sights.

Yup, it all hinges on the “real possibility” if in fact they had a real possibility I would not complain after the fact. But I would bitterly complain if this was SOP for house to house with no intel indicated the wanted criminal with was on any particular premises.

The right to live is the supreme right. The protection of that right when it is threatened always overshadows the demands of the lawyerly. It’s natural.

so you think”probable cause” gives the police cart Blanche to do warrant less searches over a 26 mile urban area?

I doubt you’re baffled.

The site at the following link shows graphic pictures of the injured at the Boston Marathon.

The man who wrote the report is an EMT. He states clearly how the scene was staged.

We are too trusting of our government. Now, today, we have a radical Marxist and Muslim in the White House. He and the others with him cannot be trusted.

I wondered when the ultimate Alex Jones fantasy would show up here.

I’m from MA, live less than a mile from where they arrested #2’s friends. I don’t support what Law Enforcement did. They just raped our Constitutional rights. I would’ve made the news because I would’ve refused their search. Peaceably, I wouldn’t have answered the door.
I am not proud to be an American after that display of militarized police. 9,000 cops and a guy smoking a cigarette finds #2. If it wasn’t for the guy who got car jacked leaving his cell phone on in the car the two bombers would’ve completely escaped.
What’s more disgusting 200 rounds fired and #2 runs away and hides. Isn’t there one cop competent with a firearm? I say that from experience, I’ve seen the average cop shoot at the range.
This is a scary precedent set. This will happen again in a town near you. The terrorists are winning. Not only are they creating fear but now our government is. Fear your Government. Love your Country. So sad.

Watertown had one “alleged” murder running loose.

Chicago and DC have dozens, if not hundreds of murderers running loose, with new ones joining the group each and every day.

Why don’t they get the lockdown/house-to-house-search treatment?

I NEVER use anything from Alex Jones.

At this point, I’m certain you’re a government plant.

Ya know..the thing that was creepy to me..among many things..was that the police told the people to come on outside..they weren’t in danger. We sat here and said YIKES looks like they are using the public as bait after keeping them inside for so long. Suddenly..without finding the guy..everything is peachy keen and safe? Odd.

The question is not that they are allowed to do the warrantless searches

The question really is when does it go too far.

Unfortunately, that is subjective.

I use this example from a different state. I think it was WEST COAST.

A LEO was killed on the scene. Warrantless searches were done for 4 days of the murder scene under the murder exception.

Evidence thrown out.

We might be okay with that kind of massive manhunt type searches under certain circumstances but not other circumstances.

Right now, I am not comfortable with them given the MUZZIE lover in Office with a missing Saudi terrorist and an Attorney General that wants to limit citizens rights - such as expanding the public safety exemption on the Miranda warning.

I assure you that if your local sheriff thought there was a real possibility that there was a terrorist bomber in your house holding your family hostage he would have his gun drawn. That’s reality.

I'm sorry -- did I miss something??? Was there a terrorist in that house holding those people hostage??? and since when do you rescue a family held hostage by aiming your weapons at the hostages???

Not on this video but related.
As I watched the news I heard and the news people reacted to 2 shootouts in the morning. No one mentioned or explained who they were shooting at or why. Does anyone know what happened?

Don’t be a jerk. He isn’t the first; you’re just not paying attention.

But you’ll have another chance, and soon.

There is going to be a “Zombie drill” - yes, another - this time in Idaho on Arpil 27th or 28th. It will be interesting to see if the Feds manage to arrange house-to-house searches there.

Originally there would have been a “Nuclear attack drill” in Los Angeles on the 28th, but some incompetent government lackey mistakenly posted the ‘Memorial List of the Dead’ from that event online! Thank God the government isn’t more efficient or none of us would be safe.

But someone, probably in BHO2’s regime is busy going through the internet and redirecting links from photos depicting staged injuries at Boston, to porn sites. Pretty sick!

I have a trap on my boat. You need to have tarp on very tight otherwise during a noreaster wind can get underneath the tarp and blow it off. If you loosen a strap in one small location or cut the strap on the side one could slide underneath the tarp. One thing I do all winter long is inspect the straps to ensure they haven't loosened. It is a habit of all boat owners.

Based on earlier thread, many Freepers are okay with this.

Late last night I ended up in a bit of an argument with some regarding this subject. He wrote the cops did exactly what they should have and we should be applauding them (paraphrase, not quote).

It was a thread with over 200 posts and as I read him arguing with others I had a feeling he was a plant, although he has had an account for well over thirteen years.

..we’d have to know the circumstances under which the house was searched....was the address a known address the bombers were familiar with, was the house (or address) also connected with the other two men here illegally associated and still in jail?

All valid questions but no point trying to reason with the unhinged. They want to go on an anti cop rant and will grasp at any straw to do it.

I listened to the scanner when this went down. There were numerous false alarms called in to the police. Guy in the bushes, guy with backpack trying to hitch a ride, 3 arabs in a cab, etc., etc. PD responded to all of them and given the gravity of the situation had to assume they were legit.

Yet I don’t see anyone suggesting charging citizens with making false reports. Just attacking cops doing their job while on the receiving end of IEDs. Considering they were dealing with an unknown number of assailants with paramilitary ordnance, I think everything came out just fine.
