A note: Radikal is considered a left-wing newspaper over in Turkey (their version of the UK's
Guardian).
Comment: I guess this guy pissed Sultan Erdoğan off badly. Heh.

The days of the military being Kemalist watchdogs are long gone.
Seriously, they executed presidents for far less attempts at introducing Islamism.

democrats/liberals love Islam because they admire how Islam takes away individual rights and freedom and so easily cracks down on individuals and free speech. Islam is a tool to control the masses same as socialism/government . so you see that is the main belief in democrats’ religion statism/socialism that the government is all power and that the individual has no right , no freedom , so each person is a slave.

Fazil Say, 43, had tweeted the following verse from 11th century poet Omar Khayyam: You say that the rivers flow with wine, is Heaven a tavern? You say that you will give every believer two very beautiful women, is Heaven a brothel? He also retweeted a missive posted by someone else: I am not sure if you have noticed, but where there is a louse, a non-entity, a lowlife, thief or idiot, they are all pro-Allah. Is this a paradox? What is wrong with these comments???? In another tweet, he made fun of the muezzins call for prayer: The muezzin recited the evening prayer in 22 seconds. Prestissimo con fuoco!!! What is your hurry? A lover? Raki? (raki is a Turkish alcoholic drink flavored with aniseed.)

Article 216(3) of the Turkish Criminal Code states: "Any person who openly denigrates the religious beliefs of a group shall be punished with imprisonment from six months to one year if the act is conducive to disrupting the public peace. Cleverly worded.
An insult against Islam is guaranteed to disrupt the public peace, and is therefore actionable.
Christians can be insulted, and in a Muslim country they will not dare protest, so therefore the public peace is not violated, and the insult is therefore not actionable.
