So much for the Boston Police' public speculation that Dzhokar Tsarneav may have shot himself in the neck in a suicide attempt -- and their claim the gunfire battle occuring at the boat was two-way.
Officials now say Dzhokar was unarmed when he was captured. No gun was found on or around the boat.
Two U.S. officials say Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect, was unarmed when police captured him hiding inside a boat in a neighborhood back yard.
Authorities originally said they had exchanged gunfire with Dzhokhar for more than one hour Friday evening before they were able to subdue him.
Interesting that instead of this being the headline, CBS has a headline referring to a speculative claim by police in the article that Tamerlan may have financed the venture with marijuana sales. No support for is given other than Tamerlan was unemployed.
According to his wife, he was the stay at home dad while she worked 60 to 80 hours a week. That's hardly evidence of drug dealing.

Question: Have police identfied this guy yet? The one they arrested and made strip naked, and then paraded in front of the media cameras as they put him in a patrol car, and then let go because he wasn't involved?
It's not the carjack victim because he's Chinese and escaped at the gas station in Cambridge while Tamerlan was pumping gas and Dzhokhar was buying Red Bull before the brothers took the car to Watertown.

I sometimes like reading Leftist sites, because they do come up with things that I would never think of, that are sometimes at least interesting, but this one fails. He could easily have had a gun during the shootout when his brother was killed and then not have it when, seriously wounded, he crawled into his hiding place.

The source they link to is anonymous and contradicts the claim. In one sentence they say he was unarmed, in the next sentence they say they recovered a 9mm handgun next to him. Maybe they are laying semantics that he technically he was unarmed because he dropped the gun, but it greatly contradicts the theme this blog tries to push.

I was at a restaurant in Chicago tonight that had communal seating and there was a major nutjob truther ranting to his friends across from me about how all of this was a CIA false flag and connected to 9/11.

I have always suspected that a lot of these SWAT teams are populated with trigger-happy Rambo types who are trained to shoot first and ask questions later.
Fire discipline? They’ve never heard of it. Unlike private citizens they are not accountable for every bullet that is launched from their weapons.
Its a lot more fun (and safer too) to roust private citizens from their homes and force them to keep their hands over their heads after they’ve been frisked 3 or 4 times.
Yeah, I really can’t imagine what they are thinking in various trying to imply that he was innocent. I guess they’re just aholes. I even can slightly buy into the elder one being the real psycho and white hat being under his sway, but still the kid’s going to have to fry for this monstrosity.

No, but “unarmed when they found him” means there was no need to kill the boat! Which now looks like swiss cheese. This makes the cops look worse. As do the pictures from the shootout scene showing he was able to escape because they didn’t have the road blocked. I thought only hollywood perps were able to escape that way. Who’s going to make the movie? Iran? The Palis? Egypt? One of the Stans? The Turks are too two faced to try it. Maybe Libya will; they’ve proven they can get away with anything. They hardly need a scriptwriter, although they might delay starting production hoping for a couple more good scenes.
