Always thought the “false allegation” stuff was BS made up by guys to hide their violence. Until...

John was my production manager. Very laid back, non-violent guy. Rarely saw him get upset and never saw him physically violent. Missed work for a couple of days without calling in - usually a sign they have been arrested. Sure enough, John comes in all apologies and tells us his story.

A few months back John’s 400 pound mother-in-law moved in with him and his wife. This human shaped mound of lard sat on the sofa all day, eating, and watching soaps and talk shows. Never once cleaned up, never once picked up after herself, never once put any money toward the house.

One day John comes home from work and his wife immediately starts yelling at him, loudly. She seemed to be having a one sided conversation:

“Of course I cleaned the house!”

“I’m sorry dinner isn’t ready!”

“I’ll vacuum better next time!” and

“Please don’t hit me again!”

at which point she throws herself against the door, hard, and falls to the floor.

Fat Momma yells “Don’t you hit my daughter. I’m calling the cops!”

Cops come and arrest John. Of course the neighbors collaborate the wife’s story because they heard the yelling and the thumping.

John is charge with assault, among other things. His public defender convinces John to plead no contest. John gets three years parole and mandatory anger management classes. His wife filed for divorce and full custody of their daughter (which she got). John’s take home pay went from $600 a week to under $200 per week after wage garnishments. Not only couldn’t John go near his wife (restraining order) but it was extended to his daughter as well.

All of this because he asked his wife one night “Hon, could you speak to your mom about helping out a bit around the house?”

Saw John’s ex in the grocery store about a year after all this. I walked up to her side, from behind, and quietly said “I know what you did to John.”

She calmly, slowly, turned her head towards me, gave me a little smile and said “Yeah, life’s a bitch, then you marry one.”

I know from recent personal experience that this is what PDs do. They don't work for you.

They work for the "justice system" that LOVES to employ Probation Officers...and judges and cops and clerks and...Public Defenders.

You know why divorces are so expensive?

Because they’re worth it.

My ex repeatedly threatened to allege domestic violence to get them to take my guns away.

A guy that the spousal unit knows is getting his everything handed to him in a divorce. He makes a little shy of 6 figures.

Nowadays he lives on scraps in his parent’s basement, drives a really old car, and is generally miserable. I think he has to essentially bankroll her for I have no idea how long.

I was never impressed with her in either the looks or brains department. I can’t figure for the life of me what he saw in an overweight dingbat like her.

—— She calmly, slowly, turned her head towards me, gave me a little smile and said “Yeah, life’s a bitch, then you marry one.” ——

I would have smiled and whispered to her, “ you don’t know who I am, but some day I will settle the score.”

Yes, I would. She sounds like the devil incarnate. I’ve heard similar stories.
