Expert: Women Abuse as Often as Men
Arutz Sheva ^ | 30/4/13 | Yoni Kempinsky

Domestic violence is not one-sided, Professor Murray Straus of the University of New Hampshire told Arutz Sheva on Monday.

Straus participated at the two-day conference entitled "Violence, Conflicts and Unity in Family Context: A Reappraisal of Therapeutic and Judicial Doctrines." The conference is being held at the Ariel University.

“The bottom line is that in domestic violence, about the same percentage of women assault their partners as men,” he said. “Women are more often injured, but that doesn’t change the fact that women attack as often as men.”

Prof. Straus admitted that he’s been censored in the past for saying that domestic violence is not one-sided, because “generally people refuse to believe it, despite a lot of scientific evidence showing that these are the facts. There are 230 studies, as of several months ago, and yet people refuse to believe it. Everyone is supposed to know that men do this - and they do it, but so do women.”

The solution to ending domestic violence, he said, is that “if we’re going to end violence against women, we have to take steps to end violence by women.”

Yawn. Scratch self. Stretch. Yawn again. Men are usually better at domestic violence than women. We mostly can hit harder. It's an upper body strength and bone structure thing.

I am continually amazed at the people who want to “stop domestic violence against women.” I ask them about domestic violence by women or structure a reply by telling them I am against all domestic violence whether done by a woman or man. They usually expose themselves as men-hating libs in denial at that point.

Women are devious and strike when you least expect it and in ways you don’t expect.

Having been the victim of an abusive woman, I can tell you first hand that even I was surprised. I’m 6’3”, over 300 lb., and when my 135 lb. former girlfriend threw stemware at my head for a perceived slight, it shocked me. The glass shattered inches from my face. She would call me in the middle of the night yelling at me and ordering me to her house. When I hung up on her, she would call my brother and even my mother once to tell her “how bad I was in bed,” among other fallacies. She did it to evoke a response and over time, she got less.

I have known of several women who have initiated attacks then when the male finally tried to defend himself and ended up hitting her she called the cops and broke down into a “wah he hauled off and hit me” schtick when they arrived.

Women are really really good at playing the victim; especially when they instigate.....

Yes, men are stronger. That’s why women are more likely to use a weapon. Or get some guy to beat you up for her. Or make false allegations to police to put you in jail while she drains your assets.

And we don’t even need to get into the emotional and psychological things they can do, like spreading lies to all you know, and threatening you with never seeing your kids again.

Always thought the “false allegation” stuff was BS made up by guys to hide their violence. Until...

John was my production manager. Very laid back, non-violent guy. Rarely saw him get upset and never saw him physically violent. Missed work for a couple of days without calling in - usually a sign they have been arrested. Sure enough, John comes in all apologies and tells us his story.

A few months back John’s 400 pound mother-in-law moved in with him and his wife. This human shaped mound of lard sat on the sofa all day, eating, and watching soaps and talk shows. Never once cleaned up, never once picked up after herself, never once put any money toward the house.

One day John comes home from work and his wife immediately starts yelling at him, loudly. She seemed to be having a one sided conversation:

“Of course I cleaned the house!”

“I’m sorry dinner isn’t ready!”

“I’ll vacuum better next time!” and

“Please don’t hit me again!”

at which point she throws herself against the door, hard, and falls to the floor.

Fat Momma yells “Don’t you hit my daughter. I’m calling the cops!”

Cops come and arrest John. Of course the neighbors collaborate the wife’s story because they heard the yelling and the thumping.

John is charge with assault, among other things. His public defender convinces John to plead no contest. John gets three years parole and mandatory anger management classes. His wife filed for divorce and full custody of their daughter (which she got). John’s take home pay went from $600 a week to under $200 per week after wage garnishments. Not only couldn’t John go near his wife (restraining order) but it was extended to his daughter as well.

All of this because he asked his wife one night “Hon, could you speak to your mom about helping out a bit around the house?”

Saw John’s ex in the grocery store about a year after all this. I walked up to her side, from behind, and quietly said “I know what you did to John.”

She calmly, slowly, turned her head towards me, gave me a little smile and said “Yeah, life’s a bitch, then you marry one.”

I know from recent personal experience that this is what PDs do. They don't work for you.

They work for the "justice system" that LOVES to employ Probation Officers...and judges and cops and clerks and...Public Defenders.

Ten years ago now.

I remember when my then wife would start throwing things at me.

She was good at it.

My then teenage daughter would call the cops.

I was covered in blood.

Wife looked pristine as usual.

When the cops showed up, they would stand over me, discussing whether to put the cuffs on me and bring me in.

All I could say was “Would you please get the hell out of my house, I can handle this.”

This happened about 3 times.

The good old days...

I smiled about you being bad in bed is a fallacy. Good for you. Seriously though, my conservative sister worked for the battered women’s shelter in the early 90s. She said men would call in with similar stories and the women that worked there really could not tell them where they could get help. There needs to be battered men’s shelters too.

You know why divorces are so expensive?

Because they’re worth it.

My ex repeatedly threatened to allege domestic violence to get them to take my guns away.

I think a lot of it is the way we were raised. I was taught from a young age that a man NEVER hits a woman. I taught my son the same thing. But there are women who have been raised in different environments and they take advantage of that, once they know the man will not retaliate. Believe me, I know, from very close indirect experience.
