We in my family ate three meals a day and it came to .33 cents per head, per meal in 2005. Oatmeal, cornbread, greens, and pork. We drank tea, hot and cold. We had a nubian dairy goat who ate waste hay from the steers we raised as a business. Our chickens layed eggs and also ate the scraps left and bugs from the steers.

It got boring, but we wanted to see how much it would take to have a minimal survival diet?

Channelling Mitch Snyder. . . with over eight million homeless, this administration does nothing to alleviate the despair. Instead they play make-believe hungry man while living in a palace surrounded by opulence and servants. Yeah, it’s a good thing these fools are on the job.

Who, in the US, has only $10.53 per week to spend on food?

No, just like the other clown in the family, they are doing this to bring attention on themselves.

Frankly, after seeing how stingy the Bidens are in giving to charity, it’s pretty clear that they don’t give a hoot about The Poor....unless they can spend Other People’s Money to buy their votes.

So they’d have to eat that way for 1187 years to pay Papa’s hotel bill for one night in Paree?

There was a period of time when my ex and I lived on a weekly grocery budget of $20 and not by choice. This included washing and cleaning supplies and cat food - but the cat loved mac and cheese. Thought about writing a cookbook containing 101 ways to fix bologna or all the things you can do with just a pound of hamburger. We were fortunate at the time to be living in Arizona and had ample orange and grapefruits fresh off the trees in our yard though which certainly helped.

One of the biggest problems with cooking for one or two is that it’s hard to buy items sized for so few, like cuts of meat or just one or two pork chops.

Raw onion sandwiches were a favorite filler. We waited patiently for deer season.

The Bidens contribute basically nothing to charity. Such phonies.

A buck and a half per day will buy plenty of Ramen Noodles for all of them and a few of their friends.

B.S.

Does this mean the Biden sons and wife eat three meals a day at home for 7 days (or 5 days), (or 1 day, depending on what B.S. story we're supposed to believe) for a buck and half?

Don't any of them work during the week....and eat at work? Or do they all pack salami sandwiches and Little Debbies in a lunch pail to bring to work? Still can't do it on $1.50.

This B.S. story has more holes than a half pound package of Swiss cheese from the Publix deli.

(.....B.S.= Biden Snowjob)

They are “making a statement” because it is for damn sure they will not give any of their money to charity.
Selfish bastards. Like most liberal politicians or maybe most career politicians.

That is one of the funniest posts I have ever read here!

What are they doing, going to the 7-Eleven a buying a Popcicle each day? Are we to believe that they don't have a pantry of food? Are we to believe that they don't a fridge and freezer full of food?

What a joke!

Maybe they could do a campaign to show folks how they could live as nutritiously as possible on $1.50 a day if you have to. We will be there soon I think.
A pound of pinto beans for $1, some onion, tomato paste and a bit of ground beef with a few spices would make boring meals but could feed a person for about 5 days, for instance.
You don’t go to McDonald’s every day and get the $1 burger with the fake bread and cheese on it, then starve all day.

$1.50 a day in most of the U.S. is extremely below the poverty level here. But, $1.50 a day in many areas of the world has more buying power than what these people are claiming. Besides, this is just a publicity stunt. If Biteme and people participating in this BS would give freely of their money - instead of stealing from taxpayers, they would provide a benefit to those in need. Playing the game their playing benefits no one.

In the Phils, you can eat reasonably well on $1.50 a day.

Just another reason why I’m going to retire there in a few years.

The US is going to be circling the drain most likely by then anyways.

I just hope SS is still solvent and Obama hasn’t raided my 401k
