Nine days after Tebow was released by the New York Jets, it has become increasingly clear that the ultra-popular quarterback who has hijacked many a news cycle has no viable landing spot. No NFL team seems to want him — as a starter, backup, converted H-back or fake-punt decoy — and it's not like he's fending off big-money offers from Canada, either. Now, here's the interesting part: Tebowmania is at least partly to blame.

I think Tebow might get a call after the season starts when some high profile QB goes down and they need a new backup for the backup or one of the weaker starters gets benched. Going to Canada might work for him to polish his game and get an NFL call in 3 or 4 years although Warren Moon doesn’t think he can succeed there.
And he won the Heisman because of his running ability. He’s not a NFL QB.
The NFL would have a Satan worshiper start at QB if he could win games. The league is all about wins. Period.
My understanding is that Tebow is pretty well set on being a QB. The Rams drafted one of those guys in the third round, Heisman Winner Eric Crouch. He didn’t even make it through training camp. He tried a couple of other teams, bounced around in the CFL, and never became anything. The athleticism went to waste. His choice.
Tebow has already done more, of course, but some teams might be leery of playing a man in a position that he resents.
And the Jets blew it with him. He should have been in for second downs for the option to keep the other team guessing.

With a sport that has positions like, "wide end receiver" and "tight end", and terms like "going deep", its just begging to have gays in it.
Not a Pats fan per se but my wife is a rabid Pats fan. I hope he ends up there and runs the red zone offense and sticks it in the Jets every chance he gets.
The NFL and pro sports are really the ultimate market: you win, you make money. You lose, and the money runs away.

Well, that's the whole problem. Tebow needs to realize that he needs to be on an NFL field making plays for all to see, regardless of position. Theoretical discussions about what he might eventually do at QB don't help him.
Kordell Stewart was no great QB, either, but he lasted quite a few years in the league because he was willing to start out primarily as a WR and on special teams.
The conclusion I'm coming to is that if Tebow doesn't have a (QB) place in the NFL, then I'm no longer really interested in the NFL.

They could them use the money they save on his salary to buy an offensive line that could give him the time to throw the ball.

If Tebow could throw against corners like Ike Taylor and Charles Dimry every week he might, might get another shot but he can't and thus he most likely won't.
Even if he is not the best qb, the NFL has a dearth of good quarterbacks and tons of “low level” guys are playing. In Tebow’s case the argument about his skill level is interesting but the guy is a proven winner, and some team usually takes a chance on such a qb.
Tebow needs to be a running back or fullback or something to do with knocking other men down like bowling pins while carrying the ball because he’s really good at that. Why he won’t do what John Kuhn does escapes me.
He won’t hear of it because he demands to be a quarterback. Oh well. I do admit that he has the same amount of post season victories in the QB position as Tony Romo, and Tebow managed to accomplish that feat in 1/20th the length of Romo’s career as QB of the Cowboys...
Because it's a passing game in Canada - three downs, longer and wider field, one yard between lines of scrimmage, etc. Tebow isn't a passing quarterback. He has no future in that position in Canada or the U.S.

Certainly not the greatest skill level, but he appears to have good leadership qualities that some teams might benefit from.
There’s too much cheap theatrical show boating in the NFL these days for my tastes. Its reached a ridiculous and excessive level IMO.

Isn’t that Brady? Not his behavior but his meteoric rise from middle of the pack to one of the best ever. He HAD to have sold his soul! Gisele was part of the deal as well, I am sure.
