What matters is the possibility that the Obama nightmare can be ended before January 20, 2017.

Now, the IRS and AP affairs, in the hands of a capable investigator and a legitimate prosecutor, will almost certainly reveal criminal conduct and may well uncover other crimes. These offer the POSSIBILITY that the moving van will pull up to 1600 before 2017.
If the House GOP stays with Benghazi, it means they are not 100% committed to getting rid of Obama.

If the malfeasance was merely stupidity and incompetence and then trying to cover up the stupidity and incompelence with stupid incomepent lies, then you would be correct.
But there is obviously much, much more to this - they are covering up illicit gun running from all reports, and wanting all those men dead. So the Rs need to keep on Benghazi like pitbulls. Easing off is the very worst thing they can do. They of course can and should focus on the IRS and AP crimes as well. But they have plenty of people, then can do all of ‘em.
If Obama gave an rescue order and it wasn’t obeyed he would be leading the charge to find the breakdown. But he is not.
Testimony is that two stand-down orders were issued. If those orders did not come from Obama he would be leading the charge to find who did. But he is not.
If Al Qaeda was not involved there would be no reason to scrub references from reports.
An operation involving AlQaeda was compromised, personnel at the scene were expendable. A known false story about a video was pushed.
Is arming AlQaeda is acceptable?
