If you don’t get at the root of the problem, you won’t solve it. Having politicians that refuse to prosecute illegal immigration is a curse due to (among other sins) countenancing parenting such as this. I cannot tell if you are libertarian, but a core tenet of conservatism (from what I see) is that God does take an active role in the livelihood of our nation, punishing us for sinful behavior on a remarkably wide scale.
Or what, she gets a free pass from the same crime that thousands are convicted of each year just because she happens to be gay?

I doubt it has to do with lesbianism..otherwise the two boys in my town wouldn’t be in trouble for having sex with a freshman girl.
In a non diversity sensitive world the 18 year old probably wouldn’t be gay. I wonder who recruited her?

I think you’re right. Many boys’ lives have been ruined because they dated 16-year-olds when they were 18. That was kind of standard when I was in high school, but nowadays it gets you targeted as a sex offender and marked for life.

Age of consent is 18 in FL. You can be up to age 23 and date a 16yo. 15 is taboo. Guys get hit with this all the time. They also are prosecuting kids for pornography when they take pics of themselves and transmit over their cell to their boyfriend/girlfriend.
She’ll plead down to no jail time but still be marked as a sex offender.

What about the tens of thousands of young teen aged girls who give birth. They are not punished. They are rewarded with Section 8 housing, EBT cards, welfare, cell phone, and free medical care. Those babies weren’t dropped out of the sky by the stork.

Here in San Antonio, the illegitimate birth rate among underage Hispanic females is quite high. The schools have nurseries for the students’ kids. That is something that was unheard of back in my day.

Thank you for posting this. I believe you, but it is (to my way of thinking) Crazy-8s lawmaking.
I don’t know anything about FL Law, but in some states, if there is a sexual act between an 18 year old and 15 year old (regardless of gender), it is “statutory rape”.
One can question the validity of such laws all you want, but in this case - I am not sure the gender/sexuality of the “couple” is necessarily what drew the attention of the police/prosecutorial attention.
When I was in high school, we all knew that "15 will get you 20".
Is this something that should even be considered for prosecution?

My Aunt married my Uncle when she was 16, and he was 17....their marriage lasted until he died...about 40+ years later...
