Then you better get back into checking things out friend. Every Bible scholar and teacher I have read put Iran and Russia directly into Gog and Magog. Thanks for YOUR opinion, but I go with the experts over some guy on a web site that thinks he knows it all.

The Bible "scholars" you've read are wrong. Read for yourself and you'll see that this cannot refer to Russia

Gog is clearly Turkey -- as referenced by the Assyrian records.

go, read for yourself.

Much of the “Russia is Magog” misinformation was propagated during the Cold War. With the Cold War long since finished, perhaps its time to revise these antiquated theories.

“Ezekiel tells us that God, referring to Magog, the nation that will lead all of the other powers of darkness against Israel, will come out of the north. Biblical scholars have been saying for generations that Gog must be Russia. What other powerful nation is to the north of Israel? None. But it didn’t seem to make sense before the Russian revolution, when Russia was a Christian country. Now it does, now that Russia has become communistic and atheistic, now that Russia has set itself against God. Now it fits the description of Gog perfectly.” [Ronald Reagan, 1971]

Following a dubious linguistic theory, the paperback writers of pop prophecy have almost universally claimed that Meschech and Tubal are Moscow and Tobolsk – again pointing the theological finger at the Soviet Union. When Late Great was released in 1970, the Cold War was raging and the identification seemed to be exceedingly probable – notwithstanding the fact that several dissident scholars such as Dr. Edwin Yamauchi of Miami University flatly stated the names could not refer to Russia, Moscow, and Tobolsk.

With the Cold War long since having been ended, and with Russia back to being a Christian nation, unfortunately Russia’s popularity hasn’t improved much within most Christian circles. Lindsay started a tidal wave of groundless Russian xenophobia that has been further driven by most controlled preachers and televangelists. Perhaps this is an intentional part of Satan’s great plan of counterfeiting all of the major prophecies in Revelation and Ezekiel.

So now you see that your pastors and televangelists are utterly wrong about Gog and magog. So now go and read and see how much wrong they are on other matters
