Brookings: Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee will kill GOP
Washington Examiner ^ | May 29, 2013 | Paul Bedard

In a broad slap at the the uncompromising stands of conservative Sens. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Mike Lee, the liberal Brookings Institution's top political scholar charged this week that the Tea Party trio are leading the Republican Party to disaster and minority status.

Thomas Mann said that their stubborn style of politics that's been rapped even by some mainstream Republicans, notably the self-styled "maverick" Sen. John McCain, will lead to a voter revolt that will elect more Democrats to the House and Senate, the presidency, and eventually have the remaining GOP members begging to do business with Democrats.

[Snip]

[T]he solution to fixing Washington has only two routes: "Either a dominant one-party, Democratic system to get something done," he said, or a "situation where the Republican Party returns to its sanity and to a position of problem solving."

Because Brookings wants the GOP to run things?

"...the liberal Brookings Institution's top political scholar charged this week that the Tea Party trio are leading the Republican Party to disaster and minority status..."

Heh. No kidding. Because we all KNOW the Brookings Institute is really, REALLY worried about the welfare of the GOP.

to a position of problem solving

Get rid of Obama and the fascists in the WH. Rid the GOP of RINOs and get back to being a small government that lives by the constitution and regards it as sacred. Problems solved.

Second option involves a revolution. Not a good option.

Or the squishy RINO GOP will go the way of the Whigs...and no one will miss them.

Take a look at the over-night ascendancy of the UKIP in Britain to see the future of politics in the USA. Democrats are aborting and fornicating their way to destruction. It will take more than giving voting rights to illegal aliens to save this amoral mob.

It’s never ceases to amaze....Democrats/Liberals/Progressives who do not veer from their path are “standing for their principles” but
Conservatives who stand for their principles are to quote the article “uncompromising “.

Maybe it’s time for the GOP to realize that we don’t want progressives from either party...the GOP died a long time ago...it just doesn’t know it yet.

Yeah, we all remember how the Tea Party led the GOP to disaster and minority status in the 2006 and 2008 elections.

Wait, the Tea Party didn't come along until 2009. It was the GOP-E that wrecked the GOP and the Tea Party brought it back to life in 2010.

Where these morons get these memes is beyond me. One would think they would at least try to partially ground them in history.

McConnell & Boehner are old school beltway deal makers. They would love to make a deal. It’s the goose stepping fascists in the WH that don’t want a deal and to rule by fiat.
