I thought HuffPo’s Washington bureau chief told CNN that he wouldn’t attend unless the meeting was on the record.

They should all attend and publish everything said... along with the tag line “...and this is what ‘Freedom of the Press’ REALLY means.”

Spin by libs could be FNC refuses to meet with AG Holder. That they have already made up their minds and don’t want to hear any explanations.

They of course will not mention all the others who have refused nor will they mention why so many are refusing.

Maybe they all thought the whole meeting was comprecious and invalid because:

AG Holder refused to answer questions put to him by Congress about the DOJ’s seizure of phone records from the Associated Press saying he had ‘recused’ himself.

But he never put it in writing and he never told anyone about it until he was called as a witness.

28 USC § 591requires the Attorney General to do so.

If reporters want to change the balance of power in news and information, they need to join Fox. They need to badger Holder for not being open about the scandals at DOJ and badger him for judge shopping and badger the judge who refused to protect the rights of media.

Otherwise, the government will harm reporters as “spies” at political whim. They are wrecking themselves if they don’t stand next to FOX. Bush could have done this to them. They are headed for serious trouble if they allow their pal Holder, to get away with what he did against the media’s constitutional free speech. It’s not going to be a one way street.

They will not recognize their profession in the aftermath of this attack on the rule of law if they don’t stand up. They are creating a future of a police state and as those from South America and Mexico know, with no constitution, in law or ethics, holding back corrupt and power hungry government officials, they are “progressing” to death squad politics and reporting.

They should think about the total loss of feminists in the aftermath of Clinton’s sex abuse case. Women are not protected from being sexually abused at work now. We have females of all ages who are brought over the border and enslaved to sex dealers right in our own country! Clinton was not worth losing the womens’ right not to be abused at work and made into sex slaves! Obama is not worth losing the constitutional rights we all have fought for since the beginning!

"My guess is MSNBC will show up."

They have to. The White House TVs are half of MSNBC's audience.

Rosen, Sheryl Atkinson, and the folks at the AP who got bugged should be the only attendees. And it should be done over the phone.

Has there ever been a truly off-the-record meeting with the press? Doubtful, there will always be leaks, etc and somebody will bring a tape recorder (nowadays just an app on your phone). Another brilliant idea from Holder - will be fun to see this backfire.
I’m setting up a pool on Holder’s termination - right now I’d say the over/under is 30 days.

I hope Holder is not the sacrificial lamb.

If he goes away.. then so does the scandal.

The MSM will say.. it’s over.

If he stays.. you will get the drip drip drip.. and maybe eventually get to Obummer.

If Holder goes.. you can guarantee the story will die and Obummer it’ll never get to Obummer.

Transparency does not exist with Obama and Co, and the Media should not be going along
with this ploy to somehow place themselves above the Citizens by withholding Any information.
The MSM are supposed to be the watchdogs to prevent tyranny because a secret Gov is a Dangerous one.
When a Government becomes paranoid it's citizens begin to disappear and die.

I can just see Obama directing his servants to go into a room and study ways
to make him Emperor of The New Amerikastan, and to get rid of the Constitution for good.

Not bad. But I'd prefer Mark Levine.

Levine would do a better job, but I think Savage would do a more entertaining job.
