From Proverbs Chapeter One:

“My son, if sinful men entice you,
do not give in to them.
11 If they say, “Come along with us;
let’s lie in wait for innocent blood,
let’s ambush some harmless soul;
12 let’s swallow them alive, like the grave,
and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
13 we will get all sorts of valuable things
and fill our houses with plunder;
14 cast lots with us;
we will all share the loot”—
15 my son, do not go along with them,
do not set foot on their paths;
16 for their feet rush into evil,
they are swift to shed blood.”

He's my senator. I support and approve of what he said.

He's not my Senator but I agree 100% with you and him.

For those who think he went too far, I've recently been to Vietnam and Cruz would not even be able to fairly compare the Obama administration with today's Viet Cong leadership. Obama's too far to the left.

There are actually former Vietnamese refugees moving back to Vietnam because it is now easier to open a new business there than it is in the USA with all the red tape we have here.

There is one thing Cruz should have added. Cuba appears to be slowly making a turn where it apprears they may possibly begin lifting restrictions on its people while we are doing just the opposite.

Obama IS our Chavez.

There was no Hyperbole, only straight facts. Obama utterly depends on fear of looking mean from keeping people from speaking the truth about him.
Cruz was simply explaining that the king has no clothes.

Carter never did anything as president that should cause someone to compare him to the USSR. He was a bumbling ineffective, left of center idiot,,,yes. But he was not then behaving as a dictator, working to eradicate religion, establish actual state socialism, spreading and celebrating homosexuality, etc.

That’s why Reagan would have sounded odd to compare the Carter administration to the USSR.
But the fact is, whether the Chinese or the New Yorkers like it, Obama is precisely acting as Cruz said.

The pussified approach is exactly what has brought us to this point. Cruz is dead on balls accurate, correct, and not backing down.

The other states can only stand a pussified version? Or snooze inducing debates about GDP, and leading economic indicators??

Obama is a sinister totalitarian A-hole who is hell bent on eradicating religion. He nationalized healthcare. He is using all available state organs to suppress any attempt to organize opposition movements. He has organized a personality cult that’s downright creepy.

Ok, we cannot call those obvious parallels to Castro’s Cuba what they are, because it might upset the wuss states? I think you are dead wrong and underestimating the other states.
Also, as to your silly fear of commercials, Cruz is polite, intelligent, and not a demagogue. If anyone cuts and splices his worlds, they will ALWAYS be quickly shown to be in a context of fast, intelligent point.

In short, Cruz is the attorney you never want to face in court. Stone cold, listens to your words, and then serves up an unassailable summation of what your spin really meant.

And tippy-toeing around and being nicey-nice, doing and saying not a thing to upset the mindless applecart - playing by Marquis of Queensberry rules has gotten us exactly where?

If what Cruz has said upsets those in the haughty, enlightened (SARC) environs where the statists can pontificate their vile ideology without an eyelid being batted, then they deserve what they get.

Thank G-d for Ted Cruz. Not at all sorry if that statement offends anyone listening to the infiltrators (so-called “Republican”) strategists advising the GOPe.

Sen. Cruz, I believe more like the USSR. But, then again, that's just me.

“Cruz is the closest thing to Reagan since Reagan.”

Hear Hear ! Can’t wait till Couric asks him what newspapers/periodicals he reads. Cruz responds with American Spectator, National Review, the UK Mail, Free Republic . . . .

and Couric says huh?

Cruz is literate, polished, fearless, and it makes me proud ( like it did with Reagan ) the way he explains conservative principles and the tyranny of big government.

Do you think Cruz will have a problem since he was born in Canada?

"I am gonna have to agree. Reagan never said the Carter administration reminded him of the Soviet Union. What is it with the hyperbole? Cruz should know better. If this guy wants to run for president, he needs to stop saying the kinds of things college kids say for shock value. We are now in the internet age. These statements are recorded for posterity. "

Zhang Fei,

Many here seem to think this is still a game. We are fighting for the Republic here. Our freedom is under attack. Tyrants are pounding in the door and some want to say sweet words. I thank God Cruz has the guts to call it for what it is. The spineless niceties of the last 40 years have gotten us where? O yea, where we are now.

He will now lose a TON of support. Completely unnecessary comment of his.
______

Disagree.

He’s speaking the truth and he has no fear.

He will gain support.

"If only Cornyn would learn from his example."

Cornyn is a toothless tiger. He has been to busy over the years supporting Arlan Specter and Charlie Crist. Don't look for any conservative leadership from him.

I have said this before but I think it is worth repeating. In May I took my 18 year old to Washington D.C. We had an opportunity to meet Sen Cruz. The last thing my son said was, “Senator, you are doing a great job and I wish there were more people like you here in Washington.”

This was not of my prompting. He and I watched Ted Cruz debate David Dewhurst in 2012 prior to the election. He saw Cruz win the debate. He knew Cruz was right for the Senate and voted for him in 2012.

Legislators like Ted Cruz are what the United States needs. The newer legislators must realize it’s okay to question their fellow lawmakers. They need to not be afraid to ask “Why” something is done a certain way. The “We’ve always done it this way” attitude has to go for America to change its course.

mcpain was born in Panama and his parents were citizens at the time of his birth. He was born in a civilian hospital on Panamanian soil. Cruz was born in Canada and his mother was a citizen at his birth. I don't see any difference. I believe the law is interpreted as needing one parent to be a US Citizen. Bottom line... Cruz has a brilliant legal mind... if he runs... he will know that he is legit. If he isn't eligible, it would be a darned shame.
