The trio of scandals that have swirled around the White House in recent weeks have made Americans doubt the administration's honesty and integrity, but they have not affected President Barack Obama's job-approval rating, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found. Despite controversies involving the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Justice and State Department, Obama's job approval rating is holding at 48 percent—essentially unchanged from April.

We’re not talking about policy, competence or responsibility... it’s about a mass attachment to a ruler, like Venezuelans to Chavez. More than half of Americans are emotionally bonded to Obama. They can’t.. and won’t.. quit him, ever.
Rush talks about this frequently, calling it the Limbaugh Theorem, whereby Obama has managed to duck responsibility for every single negative event that has happened during his presidency.
Allen West was on Hannity’s radio show yesterday, and, as a military leader, he said that if someone in one of his units screwed up, the responsibility and blame would still accrue to him. Apparently, Obama subscribes the motto: “The buck stops just below me.” The corollary is—”Hey—I just read about it in the newspaper, just like you folks.”

A lot depends on exactly how the questions are asked and who is being polled and when. Having said that, the only proof we need that there are a lot of stupid Americans is sitting in the White House.

I'd say it goes beyond that... people didn't resort to cutting ties with family members and longtime friends over JFK like the dynamic we're seeing now, with Obama.
People didn't pray to sing praise and worship songs to JFK, but we're damned well seeing it now in Obama's case. Obama's supporters regard him with total adoration as a god, and any criticism of him is viewed as blasphemy.
