Irony that data mine story comes out on D-Day
Vanity | 06-06-13 | Ealgeone

Anyone else see the irony? The day Americans of one generation launched the greatest invasion to liberate people is the day their ancestors learned they lived in a police state the nazis would have killed for.

Not so ironic. We were allied with the Soviet Union in that war.

a police state the nazis would have killed for.

What we have now is a developing police state using KGB-like tactics.

Yes, the irony is staggering; the Gestapo in Nazi Germany would have held a month-long party to have the police state we now have here.

So what was all the fighting all about?

By rights, we should all be speaking German.

Yes, 29,000 men lost their lives in that invasion. And now we have turned the country they died for over to the likes of Barack Obama. That someone of his ilk should be running things is wrong on so many levels.

Cavuto gave a rare rant about just this today.

It seems our fellowmen who can stop this nightmare.. just did.

Yes, it is ironic. Irony is “a state of affairs that is the reverse of what was to be expected; a result opposite to and in mockery of the appropriate result.”

And also an irony that it would come out on the 64th anniversary of the publishing of George Orwell's '1984'.

Our ancestors fought WWII for liberty. We, their descendants, live in tyranny.

I saw that. He was on a roll and right on. My respect level for him went way up. He was really upset. A lot of upset and anger out here about Washington D.C. Maybe some journalists will start reporting how people are really feeling in flyover country.

True, but I’m starting to question if he is running things, or just the mouthpiece for TPTB.

It was amazing, very un-Cavutoish, and I think foreshadows zero’s demise which is looking sooner than later.

Those were men who fought and lived The Longest Day. What is happening now is what happens when you give great power to petulant boys and girls.

The New York times saying Obama has lost credibility, Cavuto having a great rant, even O'Reilly closing by saying, "I wonder what I'm going to report on tomorrow." He almost came across like there's too much happening all at once. Something every day. . . Pray for America and prepare.

So what was all the fighting all about?

And just a few decades later, this government allowed tens of millions to enter our country illegally, as they disrespected and defecated on our laws, rules and borders, as government awarded them.

Government and those in it, have all but left America dead on the floor.

Digital data mining, taps on phone and Internet nodes & super computers to sift the data have taken the authoritarian state’s ability to monitor & control us to levels way higher than Nazi Germany & USSR Russia. Next, it will predict what we will do before our brain hatches the thought.

My only hope for some privacy is that the volume of the data will make a time lag while it’s sifted, organized and routed to the correct agency to come out and arrest me. That and the usual government inertia & incompetence. Of course the incompetence will put some of us through the grinder by mistake.

“Ironic too that the code name for it was Overlord.”

The French would understand what that name meant; they killed American troops when they landed in French North Africa 2 years before because they were content with the status quo (instead of Stalinism, which they saw in action in Spain from 1936-1939).
