Question for all of us: If Snowden had blown the whistle when Bush (or any other Republican) was president, would we view him as a hero or a traitor?

There is also the possibility he was working for the Chinese and leaked the information on their behalf, right before the Chinese Prime Minister’s visit.
Though my only evidence is that he’s in Hong Kong, just before his identity is revealed.
