A UC Berkeley senior who is a venomous supporter of the jihad against Israel and member of several Islamic supremacist groups with links to jihad terror has been nominated to become the University of California student regent for the 2014-15 academic year.

Coming out of the UC Berkeley, this doesn’t surprise me at all.
I’m no longer surprised. Jihadis in the white house. Jihadis getting highly-placed jobs. Jihadis getting a free pass.
The left, with no small amount of help from our Jewish citizens, has chosen sides in the war between Islam and civilization, not to mention between the world and Israel.
Who nominated her? The student body? The faculty?
I suppose the BOR will cave and vote to seat her. A student representative of the BOR, I think, dates from the Reagan days (he was Governor) when there were riots and strikes by students and hangers-on lamenting the fact that the students had no representation on the BOR.
The billingsgates at Sather Gate brought the campus and the whole town to its knees in the mid-sixties.
Islam preaches tolerance and love? Oh really, how many muslims in the past 10, 20 even 40 years have denounced Islamic terror? Have protested against it all in the name of “tolerance and love”? I can’t remember one. The only thing I ever remember is after 911 a video showing up of Yasser Arafat donating blood “for the victims of 911” as it was claimed which to me was just an attempt by him so he wasn’t blamed. But other than that, my mind draws a blank.
Exactly. Islam doesn’t preach tolerance and love at all, quite the opposite. Also it says not to take Jews and Christians or other infidels as friends. So she is engaging in completely un-Islamic behavior.

Berkeley always has to work to be on the leading edge of anti-American activity.

Saved from this embarrassment by graduating out of the CS system rather than the UC system. Nothing has slowed the circling of the drain out there since I fled in ‘97.

We lack even the will to fight them at the ballot box.
Does the Cal State System really stay out of this sort of thing? (I have a daughter who will be thinking about college in a couple of years.)
Not to be too much of a bear-baiter, but UC stands for University of Cincinnati.

CS is not as political. It has always been the lesser system and is more workmanlike. When I went there the tuition was 1/10 of that at UC. I went to Long Beach, a big commuter school. Of course, I knew I didn’t need a prestige sheepskin, being in the department of engineering.
This does not mean they don’t make bone-headed moves, or they don’t spend your tax and tuition dollars on foolish things.
