Sen. Marco Rubio was dismissive Sunday of some conservatives' concerns that Democrats are taking advantage of him to help pass an immigration bill.
"Immigration reform is something that all Americans recognize has to be done," the Florida Republican said on ABC's "This Week," after being pressed on whether Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is "playing him," as commentator Ann Coulter has claimed.
"I don't focus a lot on public polling, but if you look at these public polls, it's clear the vast majority of Americans understand that what we have in place in this country is de facto amnesty, a broken legal immigration system that needs to be reformed," he said.
That came after Rubio had already offered an even more dismissive answer to host Jon Karl, who asked "Are you being played by the Democrats? Is Chuck Schumer playing you, is essentially the charge?"
Rubio's answer: "I don't -- I quite frankly, I don't even know what that means."
Rubio was also insistent that while some conservatives are opposed to the immigration bill, he agrees with them on "virtually every other issue."

I saw him on Univision’s news show the other night and could tell by the titles they were talking about “imigracion” but I couldn’t interpret that speedy spanish lingo!!!

Why is it better to be a LEGAL rather than an ILLEGAL immigrant?
If illegal immigrants can use American social services, send their children to American schools, and take American jobs without having to register with the IRS and have their earnings taxed, why wouldn’t they want to remain that way?
Illegals can’t vote, but why would they want to? And why would Mexicans want to give up their Mexican citizenship to become Americans if they don’t have to in order to enjoy the benefits of being an American anyway as they do now?
What will happen if most illegals don’t show up to claim the ‘’benefits’’ of amnesty and become American citizens, but instead choose to remain in the shadows? How will Chuck Schumer and the Democrats get the flood of new Hispanic votes they’ve been dreaming of? Stay tuned.
Rubio says the Dems better give in on enforcement or they will get no bill. Man this guy is tough.

“ ...and then President Obama has to decide if he will sign it.”
Yep, this bill is going to be sooo conservative and such a bitter pill for Obama to swallow that he may need a few drinks before he will be able to sign it, if he can.

Rubio makes the case for ALL governmental business, campaigns, speeches, etc, being in English.

Rubio is full of sh**. Has anybody here ever heard anybody besides the scumbag politicians even mention immigration reform? Freinds, neighbors, family members? Where is this even on the radar? The only thing I ever hear, if anything, is, "Get the illegal aliens out of here and secure the border."
