I’ll watch that, after I’m finished munching. Won’t survive a 2nd choking today.

What a good “shorty” 12ga for a lady?

Serbu “Shorty”:
http://www.serbu.com/top/superShorty.php

I thought Saiga and Mossberg made “shorties” like that one? All I can find is this one:
http://www.mossberg.com/product/shotguns-pump-action-500-special-purpose-tactical-light-forend/54129

She needs something small and light. I’d almost recommend she go to .410 w/ less recoil, since shorties have no stock, and I’m not sure how strong her grip is. (Not my wife; she’s my broker’s wife.)

Plus, my broker uses “snakeshot” in his .45 ACP for home protection. I’m trying to get him to switch to Cor-Bon 165gr HP, which won’t over-penetrate walls. The snakeshot is only going to PO an intruder, not take him down.

On Friday, I bought 5,000 shares each of Olin (Winchester ammo) and Alliant Technologies (Federal, CCI, and Speer ammo). They’re nicely-undervalued, but the firearms mfgrs are overvalued, for now. I’ll wait on those.

So Rush, what did you think of Sarah Palin’s speech? Was it a “right on, right on, right on”? You seemed rather ambivalent.

"Who are the money interests funding Graham/McCain?"

We know that behind the dishonest pro-amnesty commercial running expensively all over the country's air waves plus using the names of the willing duo Rubio and Ryan to give the appearance of GOP approval......is a "foundation" ("Americans for a Conservative Direction", yeah, sure!) led by Google zillionaire Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft's zillionaire Bill Gates. Both of their respective mega-corporations give heavy firepower besides money on many fronts to the pro-amnesty attack on the American people.

There are also many RINO bigwigs, advertising experts, lobbyists and ex-legislators....including Haley Barbour who lobbies FOR the Mexican government....who are in on this cabal.

Let your imagination run wild on who would be potential beneficiaries in the business world if amnesty legislation passes and you'll be putting your finger squarely on the identity of the financiers.

Put all the names of the foundation's principals together, along with their useful occupation$, their fortune$, their agenda$ and you can pretty much come up with the answer to your question.....i.e. the financiers and worker bees behind the pro-amnesty push are not there for any party ideology or affinity but for profit.

It's crony capitali$m at its fine$t....the public be damned.

As Rush said today....which politician of any party who is running for office in the upcoming election, particularly House candidates, are going to refuse mega-bucks donations from the industrial corporations/security corporations/agriculture corporations/cheap labor corporations, etal, that are controlling the entire current ebb and flow of the amnesty issue?

Sarah Palin’s speech was EXCELLENT !

It was. Sarah Palin really takes the lead and lays it out there. I only wish conservatives like Rush would have her back, enthusiastically.

Enemy Within Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook has assembled some of Silicon Valley’s wealthiest figures including liberals Bill Gates of Microsoft and Eric Schmidt of Google to fund propaganda groups FWD.US and Americans for a Conservative Direction to advance the cause of a large scale rewrite of U.S. immigration policy.

Americans for a Conservative Direction

About

Our Mission

Our country has a broken immigration system and a broken border, both of which present huge obstacles to the businesses, job creators, and legal immigrants who have played by the rules and will help continue to grow our economy. It’s well past time for Congress to get to work on real solutions to secure our border, hold those who have broken our laws accountable, and improve our legal immigration system to meet our country’s needs and boost America’s competitiveness in a global economy.

Our Board

Haley Barbour

Former Governor Haley Barbour served as the 62nd governor of Mississippi from 2004 to 2012 and served as Chairman of the Republican National Committee in the mid ‘90s.

Sally Bradshaw

Sally Bradshaw worked as former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s Chief of Staff from 1999-2001, and served as a Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee’s Growth and Opportunity Project.

Joel Kaplan

Joel Kaplan is currently Vice President of US Public Policy at Facebook. Joel also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to former President George W. Bush.

Dan Senor

Dan Senor is former chief advisor to Representative Paul Ryan on the Romney-Ryan 2012 campaign

Rob Jesmer

Rob Jesmer worked as the former Executive Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee from 2008 – 2012.

Americans for a Conservative Direction (ACD) was established in April 2013 by the founders of the pro-Democrat organization FWD.us—most notably Facebook chairman Mark Zuckerberg—to try to persuade skeptical conservative and Republican voters to support “comprehensive immigration reform” as a remedy for the nation’s “broken immigration system.” ACD is a sister group to the Council for American Job Growth, which was also formed by FWD.us to advocate for immigration reform, but to a liberal/left rather than a conservative constituency. FWD.us communications director Kate Hansen explains that “maintaining two separate entities ... to support elected officials across the political spectrum—separately—means that we can more effectively communicate with targeted audiences of their constituents.”

Providing insight into why Zuckerberg had seemingly experienced a change of heart regarding energy policy, ABC News’ deputy political director Michael Falcone said: “The ads are meant to provide political cover for [conservative and moderate] senators to cast politically risky votes in favor of immigration reform.” In a similar vein, the leftwing group ThinkProgress said that the ACD ads “appear to be trying to give political cover to vulnerable centrists, in hopes of ensuring their support for major immigration reform.”

A subsequent ACD ad promoting Senate Bill 744 featured both Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan.

ACD is funded through FWD.us.

FWD has two major headquarters. One, located in Silicon Valley, handles the group’s digital, organizing, and membership initiatives. The other, based in Washington DC, focuses on advocacy, research, and communication efforts.

Though FWD describes its 13 co-founders as a “bi-partisan” alliance, their political allegiances in fact lean heavily, though not entirely, toward Democrats. In addition to Mark Zuckerberg, the organization’s co-founders include:

(1) Accel Partners executive Jim Breyer, a financial supporter of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign; (2) SV Angel special advisor Ron Conway, who has supported the political campaigns of numerous Democrats—including Tammy Baldwin, Dianne Feinstein, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Elizabeth Warren—as well as the campaigns of some Republicans; (3) Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, general partner John Doerr, whose political contributions have gone mostly to Democrats such as Hillary Clinton, James Clyburn, Chris Dodd, Dick Durbin, Tom Harkin, and Barack Obama; (4) Microsoft chairman Bill Gates, who co-chairs the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a major funder of progressive causes; (5) FWD.us founder and president Joe Green, who worked for John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign; (6) LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, whose political donations have gone exclusively to Democrats—e.g., Joe Kennedy III, Bob Kerrey, Barack Obama, and Tom Udall—and to leftwing organizations such as ActBlue, Priorities USA Action, and Democratic Party organs in 9 states; (7) Dropbox founder Drew Houston, who has supported exclusively Democratic candidates (including Barack Obama) as well as Democratic Party organs in more than 10 states; and (8) Founders Fund managing partner Sean Parker, who likewise has contributed exclusively to Democratic candidates—including Barack Obama and Harry Reid—as well as Democratic Party organs in at least a dozen states.

The four remaining FWD founders have little to no history of political partisanship in either direction. These include Dropbox vice presidents Aditya Agarwal and Ruchi Sanghvi; Benchmark general partner Matt Cohler; and The Social+Capital Partnership founder Chamath Palihapitiya.

FWD’s leading financial contributors include such notables as Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, Facebook vice president Chris Cox, PayPal co-founder Max Levchin, Yahoo president/CEO Marissa Mayer (a major Obama acolyte), and Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt (a staunch Obama supporter and board chairman of the New America Foundation). Other top donors to FWD include corporate leaders from Airbnb, AVOS, Cisco, Code.org, Domo, Formation 8, Groupon, Instagram, Jawbone, Khosla Ventures, Netflix, One Kings Lane, Path, SpaceX, Union Square Ventures, Y Combinator, Yammer, and Zynga.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, FWD promotes its immigration-related agendas through the use of both “online and offline advocacy tools.” To maximize the effectiveness of these efforts, FWD in April 2013 established two subsidiary organizations—Americans for a Conservative Direction and the Council for American Job Growth. The former seeks to appeal to conservative and Republican voters, while the latter targets a liberal/left constituency. Said FWD spokeswoman Kate Hansen: “Maintaining two separate entities … to support elected officials across the political spectrum—separately—means that we can more effectively communicate with targeted audiences of their constituents.”

Apart from immigration, a secondary issue of concern to FWD is “education reform” aimed at “produc[ing] more graduates in the science, technology and math fields.”

They’ve had six months, at least, to do that now.

It’s beyond late for them to expose Rubio’s lies.
