Colo. senator who pushed for gun control may lose job

After the massacre last summer in a Colorado movie theater, the leader of the state Senate pushed through a gun-control bill. Among other things, it outlawed the 100-round ammunition magazines used in the murder of 12 people and the wounding of 58.

But Senate President John Morse has been in the sights of gun rights advocates. On Tuesday, Colorado certified there are enough signatures on a petition to force a recall election.

The gun control laws passed in March limited magazines to 15 rounds and mandated background checks, even for private and online gun sales.

"I've watched people die, and I've helped people not die," Morse says of gun violence he's witnessed.

A gun owner himself, he is now the target of a recall, despite seven years as a popular legislative leader.

Moments after the recall petitions were validated, Morse supporters filed challenges, meaning all of this could end up in the courts, and the actual recall election could be months away.

Your job is to represent your constituents, not yourself! When you fail to the job you were elected to there should be ramifications.

Prison terms should be the order of the for any elected official who votes against the constitution.
Moore and every other need to stew in prison for no less than five long years. Maybe these evil bass turds will think twice about going against our founders intent.

It may have outlawed the manufacture of 100 round drums, but I highly doubt that it outlawed the drums themselves.

Since we know interstate and intrastate are the same thing, isn’t it a reach for states to be able to outlaw anything these days?

I'm inclined to agree. Every one of them took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Some of them are doing their very best to subvert it.

No you haven't, you azz. All you have done is disempower the law abiding thereby empowering the criminals. My proof? Chicago. GFY Morse.

One down, three to go. We have GOT to send a message, people. The Second Amendment and the American people behind it are stronger than their money and power. Molon Labe!

They make laws subverting the Constitution knowing that it would take years to
get into the Supreme court. And the Court being unreliable now there is no other
direction to take other than un-electing the slime after the fact.

In the end it's the Voters who allow this subversion, DemocRATs mainly.
If the Constitution wins the day and we have Conservative peace for a decade
you can be sure that the complacency of voters will allow history to repeat itself.

Colorado local news sites are not covering this story that much.
All of us Coloradans should post this story on their news site message boards.
They’ll try to bury this news hard.
Don’t let them.

Interesting... All the libtard sites ran story after story that the legislators who didn’t vote for these gun laws in Colorado were going to get recalled...

Of course none got the required signatures to move ahead...

When will the gun grabbers grow a brain.....?

He was the Police chief in the city (town) of Fountain so this might not be the best question. Instead, ask him about the “popular legislative leader” who did not even win a majority in 2010. And yes, the Libertarian cost this one.

Colorado State Senate, District 11 General election (2010)
John Morse (D) 13,866
Owen Hill (R) 13,526
Douglas W. Randall (L) 1,320

http://www.city-data.com/crime/crime-Fountain-Colorado.html

I call his story BS because the level of crime in Fountain, Colorado does not support his contention of seeing people die and trying to save people dying from violence. Did he cop any where else?

Someone who vets it. Prison is indeed called for when elected officials trample on our rights.

-——our enemies are right at home in the swamp.——

It is the tyranny of the law. There in effect is no law other than that of what a marxist judge rules.

Our nation is under the rule of treacherous tyrants....... lawyers all.
