I thought the CBO was supposed to be objective in its scoring of government proposals. We saw how objective it was in the scoring of the Affordable Care Act, a/k/a Obamacare. It was scored over 10 years, and the Dems gamed the scoring by including 4 years of up front payments and only six years of benefits.

Now, against all evidence of what a drain illegal aliens are on our country, they tell us that wholesale amnesty will be an economic boon. If you believe this, I've got a bridge to see you.

Sure and the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT WAS GOING TO CUT A FAMILY OF FIVE’S MEDICAL COVERAGE BY $2500.00 PER YEAR... THOSE WERE CBO FIGURES... NOW THE CBO SAYS THAT IT WILL TAKE $20,000.00 PER YEAR FOR THE BRONZE POLICY. LIARS ALL!!!

I do not know why anyone would believe what comes out of Washington anymore.

The lies start when they give a bill a name. The name never matches up with what the bill will really do if it becomes law.

And anytime they say a particular bill will save money, hold on to your wallet because what that means it is going to cost way more then they are willing to tell us.

The CBO also said the same thing about Obamacare, then changed it’s mind after it was rammed through.

Just remember there are real people at CBO putting this information together and the IRS and NSA have the same type photos as they have on Justice Roberts, mating with animals, shoplifting, keeping a nanny locked in the house, etc.

the immigration bill currently being debated in the Senate would reduce the federal budget deficit by $875 billion

Just like they figured ObamaCare would cost 900 billion except when it would cost 2.5 trillion and counting.

Welfare for the uneducated illegal masses will reduce the deficit! Don’t know whether to laugh or cry at such stupidity.

It would be great to see the actual assumptions that allows them to come to such a conclusion. I believe it would be quite revealing. The key to any analysis are the assumptions used.

Bullcrap. The CBO was given very tight restraints on how to score it and naturally they came up with a Rat friendly number. Remember when they said that Obamacare would cost less than $1 trillion over 10 years and it rapidly ballooned to nearly triple that?

They do not factor in these two issues:
1. The number of newly legalized immigrants that will be eligible for and that sign up for welfare benefits (likely to be 7-10 million).
2. The policies that will result from a majority Democratic House, Senate, Presidency, and from the majority of states having Democratic majorities, as a result of 6-8 million new voters, 90% of those voting Democrat straight ticket.

“By fixing our broken immigration system – and making sure that every worker in America is playing by the same set of rules and paying taxes like everyone else – we can grow the economy, strengthen the middle class, improve our fiscal outlook and create new opportunity for Americans everywhere.”
BS. The illegally employed illegal alien is only a small fraction of the economic problem. PAYING TAXES. There’s the magic word. Paying INCREASED taxes. There’s the reality. Increased taxes to PAY FOR administering the immigration reform. Opportunity? for Americans EVERYWHERE? Opportunity for what? To pay MORE TAXES????

CBO : Have their spending projections EVER been right?

Remember, Obamacare was going to come in under a trillion dollars; Trillion dollar yearly deficits were going to be halved by Obama’s 4th year

The CBO is nothing but a rubber stamp because they simply take the numbers they are given and make projections. In essence, they lend credibility to the incredible.

Congressional Budget Office? ROTFLMAO!!! What budget, I see no budget?
