Former Congressman Allen West left open the possibility of challenging U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fl, in a Republican primary come 2016 on Wednesday.

"We'll see what happens down the pike," West said about taking on Rubio in 2016. "God will set my feet on the right path."

Appearing a guest co-host on WMAL’s “Mornings on the Mall” in Washington, D.C., West acknowledged that defeating Rubio would be a tall order and could benefit Democrats.

"That's a pretty heavy lift, because you're talking about running against a sitting senator, and then, of course, that creates that schism that the other side would love to see happen," West said.

It would be amusing to see Rubio crash out of the presidential primary for 2016 only to lose the senatorial primary to West.

Well he could always run for president of Cuba. He already seems to have the mentality for that.

Wow. I admit I’d love to see this. I’d donate my limit to West’s campaign. Anything to get rid of that lying, traitorous, POS Rubio.

West should have taken on Nelson in the last election instead of running for reelection to his House seat.

Amen. Time to start firing a few shots across well-placed bows by firing a few of these clowns.

It pains me to admit that I contributed to Rubio when he ran for the Senate. I’d like to correct that mistake by contributing to a Col. West campaign.

Col. West would have been reelected to his house seat if not for the massive voter fraud committed against him, but unseating Rubio in the Senate would be awesome.

Rubio turned out to be a phony. I still believe Allen West is the real deal.

Might as well, Rubio has already jumped the shark.

I bet there's enough conservative ire to crowd fund a second invasion of Cuba with Rubio taking the lead.

We will never have serious constructive changes until the fractions of the liberal wing of the republican party are destroyed/pushed back/won with over from the ideas of the common sense conservative wing. It has to come down to a clash or we continue to stay upset and to fall back.
