Rachel Rose Hartman, a White House reporter for Yahoo! News, couldn’t possibly have missed the “birther” story. It was unavoidable, after all, for an unhealthy chunk of the president’s first term.
Yet: In her story yesterday on Obama’s Africa trip, Hartman managed to say that “he won’t be stopping in the country of his birth.” From the context of the story, it’s clear she was referring to Kenya.
The Erik Wemple Blog has a number of questions for Yahoo! Newsers:
1) How on earth?
2) Did someone forget that the president of the United States needs to be born in the United States (or fulfill other constitutional requirements)?*
Updated (4:50 p.m.): A parenthetical was added to the post to fully account for the ways to qualify for presidential eligibility.

Many WaPo commenters display a similar touchiness and lack of confidence...
Commenters also debate the "parenthetical" that Wemple added that implies that birth on US soil might NOT be necessary and claim that Cruz will be excused by hypocritical GOPers...or so they believe.
Someone at WaPo might have reminded Wemple that McCain was not born in the US and the Senate passed a non-binding resolution declaring he was an NBC.
ping to WaPo opinion writers extreme sensitivity on the subject of where Barry was born after a Yahoo blogger wrote it was Kenya this week...

I confess. When first reading the Yahoo article I completely missed the point about Kenya. I’m so used to thinking of Kenya rather than Hawaii as Obama’s birthplace that I just read right past it.
Mark Steyn got this “Birther” thing right. Obama was born in Hawaii but lied in his bio about being born in Kenya,so that he could appear to be down with the struggle. Hard to be the second coming and be born in paradise.
Obama is an American citizen and a liar.
I understand that of the people still alive who worked at the hospital in Honolulu where 0 was born, none of them have any recollection of his birth. Seems odd when you consider in those days whenever a White woman gave birth to a child whose father was a, as they were called back then Negro, it surely would’ve raised some eyebrows.
Real quick ~ the US recognizes dual citizenship, and when it comes to minors with a claim to American citizenship, we simply ignore foreign laws ~ so if Indonesia thought Barry was their citizen, we don’t care!
No school prayer + no Vattel = no USA.
So, who is he?
What difference does it make? Hitler was 1/8 Jew and born in Austria. Some details do not matter, ideology uber alles.

Not in hawaii. The East Asians who run the place don’t particularly care what the white folks and the negroes are into. They tolerate them of course, but seriously, why would they care?
Which is why he never disputed his opponent (can’t remember his name... Allan Keyes?) statement during Senate debate that he doesn’t qualify for president since he was born outside US and the response was “What does that have to do with my Senate run.” Never disputed it, but that debate has never been seen on youtube again since the Presidential run.
All down the memory hole.
Since an American can't be Secretary General of the UN, will he suddenly disavow his American Roots and claim he is from Kenya again?
His destruction of the US will be complete by then so he will face no consequences for the lie
